It measures effortlessly in outdoor conditions and with bright sunlight. The button is a bit stiff and can be bothersome when focusing on distant objects. Other than that, classic BOSCH quality!

Considering everything else, it is a sturdy tool that is great for someone starting out so they have something valuable.
It produces square results if you give it measurements and is really easy to use.
The fact that it is a brand name is a plus.

I bought it for the 2nd time, the first one I had for 6-7 years but it started to stick a little. It has fallen several times. It is durable, precise, and easy to use. (Mechanical)

*after 1.5 years it broke again. It showed an error on measurements greater than 2-3m especially outdoors. I don't know if it's due to a fall. I bought a Bosch again, a little more expensive, hoping it will last longer. Aside from the fact that it broke, it does a very good job otherwise!
