Very good. Making the designs from the manual is as always somewhat boring and it’s just a guideline for how some pieces can be used. However, it has enough to create whatever you can think of. We transitioned to these from Duplo at three years old.
All time classic? They gave this particular set as a gift to my 4-year-old son and we spend countless hours together doing constructions. I also gave him my old Lego bucket from the 90s, which also had countless pieces
It was given as a gift to a 5.5-year-old child and although he was very excited when he saw it as a Lego lover, he found it boring and has played with it very little. From the age of 6.5 and onwards, he started taking the Lego 10+ sets, so unfortunately, this one didn't catch his interest. I would recommend it for 4-year-old children, older ones will get bored with it, except for some exceptions
We bought it for our daughter as a Christmas gift last year. Every day, even for a little while, she keeps herself busy with it alone or with us. It has a guide for crafts. I recommend it!
It was purchased many years ago when I was still young! Endless moments of joy and play! I recently discovered it in a corner and was interested to see if it was still being sold, and to my great surprise, I see that it continues strongly!
Our 3.5-year-old has loved it. The whole family can enjoy it. Countless constructions can be made by following the instructions or letting your imagination run wild. These are the first Legos we have gotten, and this particular set is a very good start.
One of the best game choices we have made so far (at the age of 7). It has a great variety of pieces, it also offers a storage case (a basic everyday problem) and the child is occupied for hours creating whatever they imagine and whatever idea they get from the booklet. I highly recommend it.
Very good. It has everything and the little ones are occupied for hours with it. I would like a few more wheels though because boys mostly build cars. But for more wheels, there is another box, you will tell me.
The best purchase I made for my nieces and nephews!! They are occupied for 2-3 hours (definitely during the afternoons) and thus avoid tensions, not tablets & TV!!
I bought it for my 7-year-old nephew and I can say that it was one of the best gifts I have ever bought for him. The book inside helped him a lot in making all the constructions. He spends several hours engaged with it and he has loved it.
While it may not catch your eye, as the 790 pieces are literally tiny, it still keeps the kids creatively occupied for a good amount of time. I believe that for a purchase cost of around 40-50 euros, it is clear that you are mainly buying the Lego name and it should have at least a little more quantity of bricks. However, this does not negate the fact that it is a timeless game with which a child can spend their time creatively and beautifully, and also the parent can easily participate. My rating is five stars because I think that compared to other smaller Lego sets, this one is more value for money.
The 5-year-old (now almost 6 years old) has thoroughly enjoyed it. He started with the constructions included in the book, and from there he continued with his own creations. On his own, he asked me for extra platforms and a set with wheels to build more vehicles and buildings. We also had smaller sets that he has combined and plays with for several hours when he sits down. His engagement with Lego is more than 1-2 hours every time he plays (I regret not getting it earlier because it stimulates his imagination and he doesn't get bored, every time is a new experience). It's perfect as a starter kit, I recommend it!
It is the basic package with building blocks, which includes many colors and various alternative pieces (wheels, windows, surfaces, etc).
I bought it to introduce my child to the world of construction, and they were thrilled. They play with it for hours and over time, they create better and better constructions. It is a must-have game that should not be missing from any household with children!
The only thing I would like and it doesn't have is 1-2 figures of little people.
Finally, the box can store the building blocks to keep them securely in one place and prevent them from getting lost.
Many pieces! I would prefer a larger base. It has a small green base inside. Or it could have 2... Also, I would like more ideas in the booklets. (and more wheels...)
It keeps the 4.5-year-old child creatively occupied for hours! And we only opened 3 bags.... But there are definitely more.
These toys are an investment.. His grandchildren will have them too...
Excellent service from the Gamescom store, which during the holiday season, amidst lockdown, delivered from Athens to Thessaloniki in just 4 days. The people are professionals! The quality of the product is top-notch.
Amazing game!! What can we say now, the little one (7 years old) is obsessed! We had plenty of these before, but now with this set, he's thrilled because he's not limited to a specific project, but can build whatever he wants in combination with the existing bricks we have. Very good construction quality, beautiful colors, construction book with ready-made ideas, etc. Today he woke up at 9:00 and played until 1 o'clock noon!!! This purchase is truly worth it!
Update 24/06/22
And yes, even after 2 years, the child still plays with them and enjoys them! He no longer plays for hours... (damn tablets and smartphones) but they are frequently in his hands and he creates many little things. An immortal game!
Our classic and beloved Lego sets from our childhood are timeless toys with educational value that the new generation also loves. My mom has kept my brother's Lego sets since 1978 and they haven't suffered any damage. It is not considered expensive since it will last for your grandchildren as well. Personally, I have kept Lego and Duplo sets from my childhood since 1983 and they are in excellent condition.
I would just like a more detailed brochure with instructions for building. There are plenty on the Lego website, but why not have them all included in the packaging? Not everyone has a computer to find them, and it's also tiring to have to look at it from there. You can leave the brochure in the child's room for them to play with on their own.
Very good choice for children, it improves their imagination and keeps them occupied for hours, although the alternative is to get them a PS4 or an XBOX and find your peace once and for all. No more shouting and fighting.
I bought it for my godchild's baptism, and among a bunch of toys, the Lego is his favorite choice, with many options in colors and sizes, it puts the child in a creative process, which can only be good for him!
It has about 700 pieces, various colors and designs, to make faces, vehicles, and various other things, doors, some windows, and 1 large base, as well as the tool to separate them if they stick together. The box is plastic and quite durable. Be careful if the child is very young because it has quite small microscopic pieces.
