Convector heater PIH/AG2-2000E by Philco, with a power of 2000 Watts. It is a very good solution to immediately meet the heating needs of a space up to 16m².
It has minimal energy losses, as almost all the electricity consumption is converted into heat. This results in lower consumption and greater efficiency compared to other heating devices.
The heating is quickly and harmoniously distributed in the space with a combination of thermal emission and air movement, thus preventing dust from being lifted and the atmosphere from drying out. This makes it suitable for people with respiratory problems or allergies.
It is also considered an ideal choice for the children's room due to the non-emission of dust or exhaust gases. Its operation is completely silent, as it does not include a fan or ventilator.
Its transfer from room to room is very easy, thanks to the 4 practical rotating wheels located at its bottom, and its installation is very easy.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I have had these heaters since 2009. In a 55 square meter apartment on the top floor with simple insulation on the terrace (no thermal insulation), the 2 heaters cover the space. I decided to write my review now because there is a lot of misinformation about their use. They will never work as a fan heater or a stove, not even as a radiator. The natural airflow passes through the body and naturally heats the space. The front surface will never be hot like radiators, which is why it is ideal for a child's room. The best way to use it is to select a constant temperature and keep it on continuously. Let me explain... By choosing a temperature between 18 and 22 degrees, the heater will work until it reaches that temperature. The first time, it may work continuously for about 40 minutes. Once it reaches the desired temperature, it will work for about 10 minutes per hour, when the temperature drops by 2 degrees from the set temperature. This way, you have a permanently warm house and very economical heating. Heating and the total electricity bill from October to May never exceeded 550 euros, and we have a baby in the house, with sterilizers and kettles working continuously!
It will never work properly if you set the temperature to 25 or 28 degrees, as the heater will struggle and never turn off, as it is simply impossible to have a room temperature of 25 degrees. This will damage the thermostat and you will end up being friends with the power company.
I have bought three other heaters from the same company, but the latest one is a complete disappointment. It doesn't seem to emit any heat, and for a month I have been patient, but nothing. Every time I turn it on, it just smells bad. I took it to the company for service, and after a week, I got it back without anything being changed. I took it back again, and now it is in my house, but the smell just won't go away. In a conversation with a relative, I learned that they are facing the same problem. So, beware!!!!
Disappointment, very expensive and ineffective. In a 30 square meter room, it does not increase the temperature even though the thermostat is set to 27 degrees for a long time. I regret spending my money
The heater is generally well-made and quickly heats rooms of about 15-25 square meters. To break it in, you need to operate it for several days (around 5 days for several hours a day), the hours stated in the manual are not enough, but this is a minor flaw in the overall picture. In economy mode at 1000W (instead of 2000W), it can heat the same room, but at a lower temperature and continuously running, giving the feeling that it may consume more power this way because it never reaches the desired temperature to turn off for a while until it starts again. I have also tried it in a much larger space (single 65-70 square meters), it does the job but it takes much more time and power. For such a space, more heaters are needed, as expected. It heats the air and creates airflow (like a regular radiator) and also emits infrared, providing satisfactory warmth when approached. It is a good purchase overall, I use it as a supplement in an apartment where the central heating is turned on for a few hours a day and alternatively with an air conditioner. The thermostat, as mentioned by the friend below, does not show the room temperature but the temperature of the air circulating near the heater, therefore it shows higher than what the room actually has. However, if you set it close to 25-27 and the room is properly insulated, it will adequately heat it. For absolute accuracy, it is good to use a separate room thermometer to adjust it as desired.
It simply does nothing. The thermostat shows irrelevant temperatures, it needs to be at 35 in order to do something, otherwise it shuts off immediately and still doesn't heat even 10 square meters.
The technical support is utterly unacceptable
Quality construction. Worth it.
The support legs are the worst. They broke within 2 months. It's not worth its money.
