The Astra Militarum is the backbone of the Imperial military force. They are the men and women who hold the line – a bulwark between Humanity and a galaxy of horrors. Among the assembled armies of the Astra Militarum, the stern Death Korps of Krieg are some of the most legendary.

For these zealots of the Imperial Creed, death in battle is an honor to be sought, not feared. Their armies are designed with attrition in mind, made to withstand relentless enemy assaults and counterattack with overwhelming force.

As is tradition in the armies of Krieg, Lord Marshal Varnan Dreir leads this force from the front on his trusty steed, armed with a laspistol and sword. Behind him follows a squad of ten Death Riders – daring cavalrymen who traverse no man's land with lances ready and swords drawn.

Supporting them are six Combat Engineers – specialists in demolitions, sappers, and trench defenders. They are tasked with clearing barbed wire and removing mines before bringing their shotguns and trench clubs to bear against the enemy.

Finally, an Artillery Team uses towed weapons to deliver various munitions capable of annihilating entire infantry squads, breaking fortified bunkers, and destroying armored advances. This box also includes the new Codex: Astra Militarum, a 168-page hardback book, equipping you with inspiring lore, updated rules, and epic art. Beyond the book and miniatures, you'll find a comprehensive deck of datacards and a Death Korps of Krieg transfer sheet that includes over 800 markings, texts, and numbers.

This kit consists of 509 plastic components and includes 1x Citadel 75mm Oval Base, 10x Citadel 60mm Oval Bases, 5x Citadel 25mm Round Bases, 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base, and 1x Citadel 130mm Round Base. These miniatures are unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. The miniatures in this box will be available separately at a later date.

The book also contains a one-use code to unlock Codex: Astra Militarum content in Warhammer 40,000: The App, which can be used when the codex is released widely.
