I have type 1 diabetes and have been using the Freestyle Libre 1 and 2 for years. I came to write this review because I read some people giving it one star because... they say the sensor came off. If you don't have experience with CGM adhesives, don't make reviews so lightly. These devices are not an ideal solution but are lifesaving if used correctly. This specific category of meters has a 10-15% deviation from the strips because the blood takes time to reach the capillaries in the skin, so there is a slight delay in the readings. If you think the strips have greater accuracy, compare their readings with the result of a blood test in a lab. Significant deviation. Other than that, with CGMs you have a much better picture of your blood sugar, trends, statistics, and mainly notifications for high or low values. Also, you don't have to prick your fingers and you always have the results on your phone without carrying measurement accessories. The application area requires thorough cleaning with alcohol and drying, body creams and soaps prevent the adhesive from applying properly. Also, anyone with oily skin or heavy sweating should purchase additional retention patches.

Get this one with the measuring device, not the mobile one; it works better, and whenever you want, you can bring it close to the sensor and measure your blood sugar. The only downside is the 15 days, and okay, it has a slight deviation from the blood by 15-20 units lower. I don't know how someone can give this device 1 star, really. It is a revolution in the life of every diabetic and additionally provided to type 1 diabetics completely free of charge by the EOPYY. If you don't know how to apply it correctly to last 14 days, just watch a tutorial video on YouTube. My husband has been using it for over a year and his life has completely changed. He uses the Libre 2, which automatically sends data to the app on his phone, and immediately informs him of his blood sugar levels, sends a notification with sound if his blood sugar drops or rises, and you can set it up however you want. It is also connected to the doctor who monitors him and automatically sends the data it collects to the doctor.
You should definitely try it, and from our personal experience, it deserves all 5 stars.
Update: don't lie on it, don't crush it with your weight, e.g., don't lie on the side where I wear it, because it shows hypoglycemia because it doesn't send a signal.

One really wonders about some who DO NOT recognize a GREAT REVOLUTION in the field of diabetes! User of the device for the last 4 months because I couldn't stand the daily puncture 3 times a day. To clarify things a bit, the LIBRE does NOT measure blood sugar levels, but subcutaneous, in the interstitial fluid (very shallow puncture). Therefore, its accuracy cannot be compared to machines that measure in blood, let alone with the laboratory measurement that measures in venous blood. Also, the exact placement on the arm plays a role, without the user being able to know in advance if the needle will measure correctly or will constantly show "hypoglycemia". Therefore, the absolute numbers it shows should not be taken at face value, they are far from blood measurement, usually lower. However, it shows, and this is what I am looking for, the sugar curve throughout the day, depending on what you eat and how you move. Otherwise, due to cost, I will keep it for another 2 months until I "learn" and then back to puncturing 1-2 times a week. Conclusion: It is a salvation from the daily puncture, but only for beginner diabetics, until they learn how their sugar moves or for "severe" cases of type 1 diabetes.

I was constantly experiencing hypoglycemia... especially at night if you made the mistake of squeezing it during sleep.. I may have received a defective one.. but I have used at least 10 sensors without any particular problem of the libre 1. The measurements, however, are not the same as the blood sugar meter in general but you learn that there is a deviation of around 30 units above the meter and you act accordingly..
