    The body is plastic but the front part of the tip is metallic. The problem lies in the quality of the metallic part, which after 6 months of daily use for writing, starts to change color. It appears to oxidize and fade, as shown in the photos, going from shiny silver to a bronze three-tone. Mine is for a 1.0 tip size. Be careful, even though it states that it can also accommodate a 0.9 tip, you may encounter a small issue. If you use a 0.9 tip (depending on the quality of the pencil), it may slip and fall off from the pencil shaft. If you use a 1.0 tip, it remains stable inside the metallic tip of the pencil. Despite its deteriorated appearance, I continue to use it continuously until I find something similar with metallic elements in its body.
