The closed cabinet of the Club Series includes a 10" subwoofer with a resistance of 2 ohms and a 10" passive radiator.

Decades of JBL experience have led to the creation of the Club Series subwoofer cabinets, designed to deliver powerful bass with minimal distortion. The JBL Club 1000SSL cabinet combines a 10" subwoofer and a passive radiator in a cabinet specifically designed for subwoofers, with a downward orientation.

The second subwoofer (referred to as the "passive radiator") responds to the air pressure produced by the active subwoofer, enhancing low frequencies for greater volume than other compact subwoofer cabinets.
