The Sonoff SNZB-05P sensor is a Zigbee water leak and flood detection sensor that uses the Zigbee 3.0 protocol to send notifications and activate scenes via a Zigbee 3.0 gateway. Its small size makes it easy to install in areas close to boilers, radiators, washing machines, and dishwashers, as well as other areas at risk of leaks. The sensor detects water in small amounts, even as little as 0.5 mm, and is designed to operate on metal surfaces without false alarms. It can be placed in two positions, detecting water on the ground or droplets when oriented upwards.

The SONOFF SNZB-05P detects leaks in real-time and sends instant notifications via the eWeLink app. Even in case of Wi-Fi interruption, local Zigbee scenes can trigger audible alarms on compatible Zigbee gateways. It also supports notifications via email and SMS by activating specific subscription plans. Multiple notifications allow you to act quickly to prevent damage. The sensor sends alerts every ten minutes during water leak incidents.

It communicates through an eWeLink Zigbee gateway, such as the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro, transmitting data to the eWeLink cloud and can control other Sonoff or SmartWise devices. It is compatible with SONOFF NSPanel Pro, SONOFF iHost, SONOFF ZB Bridge, and other Zigbee 3.0 platforms. Zigbee sensors require a Zigbee gateway to connect to your home network.

The sensor can be used with a water leak detection cable, aimed at monitoring areas such as basements and laundry rooms. It is powered by a CR2477 battery that provides over 5 years of use and has an IP67 rating for protection against water and dust. It is made with gold-plated contacts for increased corrosion resistance and from UV-resistant materials.
