The richly illustrated edition presents the long weaving tradition of the village of Geraki in Laconia, through studies on the history of the village and the detailed presentation of 108 kilims and bags, originating from private and ecclesiastical collections. The research and publication are the result of an initiative undertaken by the Geraki Cultural Association along with "Bridge," a collaboration program of the University of California in Los Angeles and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
