Description

The XCD 3.4/75P lens features an optical structure with ten elements in ten groups, including one aspherical element and three ED elements, which effectively reduce chromatic dispersion. This advanced design results in a compact form and provides strong optical performance that meets the resolution demands of a 100-megapixel sensor. It produces clear, sharp images and vibrant, realistic colors, whether at the center or the edges of the frame.

Compared to the XCD 4/28P and XCD 4/45P lenses of the same series, the maximum aperture of the XCD 3.4/75P has been expanded from f/4 to f/3.4, allowing for better detail capture in low light and providing more attractive bokeh.

The XCD 3.4/75P is the lens with the longest focal length and the largest aperture in the XCD P series to date, with an equivalent focal length of 59mm, making it suitable for full and half-length portraits, street photography, and still life. The longer focal length combined with the maximum aperture of f/3.4 provides a soft, natural bokeh, creating pleasing portrait images.

The next-generation design of the XCD 3.4/75P includes a sleek metal construction with a signature "H" around the focus ring, highlighting Hasselblad's unique style. It weighs just 398g and is 71mm long, making it 45% lighter and 24% shorter than the XCD 2.8/65, which makes it an ideal choice for portraits and street photography.

The XCD 3.4/75P uses a linear stepper motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group, allowing for faster and more precise focusing. When combined with medium format digital cameras of the X System or V System that support PDAF, it offers a fast, silent, accurate, and flexible focusing experience.

The lens features a compact leaf shutter unit that operates with minimal vibration and noise, allowing for shooting in quiet environments. It supports speeds up to 1/2000 second, facilitating the capture of fast-moving subjects. It also supports flash synchronization at all speeds, allowing the use of flash to shade the background and highlight the subject even in bright sunlight.
