Very large, serrated red petals with light-colored edges, opening into a loose bloom that resembles a crown above the waxy, dark green leaves on dark red stems. The variety is very similar to "Red Sarah Bernhardt," a Chinese import from 1980. Cherry red petals of equal size, much lighter at the edges, open into a loose, crown-like bloom above waxy, dark green leaves on dark red stems.

Large, double, full, purple-red, fragrant flower. A Chinese-origin variety, vibrant, with dark and shiny green foliage, with sturdy and upright stems, excellent for the garden and for cutting. Blooms a few days earlier than Sarah Bernhardt. "Fiona" is a herbaceous peony.

Herbaceous peonies are perennial plants whose foliage, consisting of long stems bearing flowers, dies back each autumn and regenerates in spring. They have fibrous roots and are also ideal for small gardens. The flowers are suitable for cutting to create beautiful bouquets.
