excellent choice for the quality and the money spent on this camera. easy installation, somewhat easy menu if you know it of course. the camera follows the "victim" wherever they go within the range of the motor. it also comes with a month of free cloud storage software.
Very good camera, nice recording, but there are many times when it turns off and needs to be unplugged for a restart; it's a bit tiring and unpredictable

Almost a year without protection from the sun (morning) and rain, they work perfectly. Unfortunately, like all Tapo products, the person detection gets confused and triggers even if it sees a dog or a motorcycle - not just a person. That's why 4/5.
Easy installation with the tapo app, it immediately recognized the microsd and sends me notifications for car or person movement because the camera looks at the yard and the street. It automatically set itself to circular recording, if you are on data the camera control is quite weak with a 5 sec delay, the image is excellent as well as you can hear the sounds of the video recording well, and the two-way communication with the microphone is very good, the voice from the camera's speaker is loud. Good purchase for the time.
For its price, simply excellent. Placed in an outdoor covered area for two years, everything works perfectly, recording on an SD card, notifications, sound, all of these of course with the appropriate settings.

Works great for 1 year. Very easy installation. Good quality. Average menu ease. It is located in a village at 1200 m altitude, with cold, snow, rain, and it withstands. Very good image quality and zoom.
Quite slow image transmission, even if the Wi-Fi is strong... the most unpleasant thing is the inadequate coverage of the rotating image. Many times it captures the movement and not the person (when they coexist in the same snapshot).... Also, when the person barely passes into the frame, the camera does not track them.. It only sees them momentarily and not until the end..
Below average, it generally lags in image transmission, image rotation is mediocre, I would not recommend it
The camera is installed in the yard. The image quality is very good. I installed it relatively quickly.
The microphone is decent, the sound you receive is okay. Its software is simple and easy.

It is worth the money, it has very good image resolution both during the day and at night, the installation is a breeze as long as you have a good wifi connection (if not, the problem can possibly be solved with an extender), waterproof which is very important (it has been tested in heavy rain), many things to adjust through the app such as alarm monitoring (if it detects movement, it follows the object until it goes out of the camera's range), recording both to cloud and to an SD card where you can set up circular recording (it deletes the old ones and writes new ones) without you having to do anything, completely automatic. Overall, for the money, it is a very VFM option, I recommend it.
For the money, it's very good; for a night with no light at all, you can recognize someone at 3-4 meters. The light it has for the alarm is like a simple LED light, it doesn't illuminate anything
Good choice for the money, I have 3 at home, all in outdoor areas. The farthest distance from the router is 7 meters with walls between the router and the camera, and the closest is 3 meters; I do not experience connection or speed issues! I have installed a 256GB Intenso microSD with 90MB/s and in continuous recording mode, and it works perfectly. The camera accepted the card immediately, and now that the cards are full from continuous recording, they continue to write/delete automatically without any issues. The mobile app is very easy to use!

The camera is very good, it has been installed at the vacation home, it is worth its price, it works very well with the tp link tapo app. It rotates 360 degrees, takes an SD card and records internally, also the image quality is quite good, and the night mode is also good. It can be set to patrol mode so it can rotate every few minutes and capture the entire area panoramically.
For the money, a very good camera easy to use from the phone, put a 32gb sd card (not provided with the package), set it up properly and everything will work perfectly, I highly recommend it
4 stars because in all the c500s I bought, it did not recognize the sd card (Kingston canvas select plus microsdxc). It fixed itself after several restarts. And a second negative, the sound is terrible.
The camera worked fine for exactly one month. Then it started not recording to the card - it only sent notifications. I changed the card with a new one, it worked fine again for one or two weeks and then the same thing happened. It sends notifications but doesn't record to the card.

Finally, be careful with the setting that, although I had checked it thoroughly, had a setting that I hadn't seen.
The card was full and needed formatting. There is a setting to record all day or only record moments when there is movement. When the card is full, it needs formatting.

For its price, it is simply excellent! It has plenty of features, but it has one major negative aspect.. Okay, you install the camera and when it detects motion, it starts recording. It notifies you on your phone that it has detected movement and then you can view the footage it recorded. Afterwards, you can save it to the memory card you have inserted.. The issue is that you don't have the ability to tell it "record everything you detect". You have to see them yourself and decide which ones to save.. This is a problem because you can miss recordings, as the footage it sends you only lasts for a short time and you have some time to save them or they will be lost. Also, its sensitivity is quite poor, as it simply captures everything.. rain, insects, cats, etc. and it is annoying because it sends notifications quite frequently for the slightest thing. BUT! For the 40-50 euros I spent, I am satisfied
Very good for its price. My microphone broke after two months, but that's a minor issue and it doesn't have the best resolution, especially at night. Simply value for money.
Easy installation, crystal clear image day and night, camera microphone so and so (Things need to happen next to the camera to have proper sound, otherwise you only hear noise), nice design and quite good build quality.. With a 50 bucks you do your job, too many words are poverty.

The review concerns the sister in the 510. Their difference is only in two more LEDs that it has compared to the 500, it's not worth going to the 510. I have both and the projection at night doesn't help to show the best image, they have exactly the same image. The only thing the projectors do is create panic and alarm, which is very powerful, but only for that, not for the image at night. So if you find the 500 cheaper, it's worth going to the 510. Both are very good, just like the 310 and 320, but these two do not rotate. The last two are waterproof and the four are very easy to install and at a very good price
Amazing camera. I have bought three for all the spaces where I wanted to use a camera. The camera is used with a micro SD card without payment to the cloud. Tremendous capabilities. It is worth its money. Especially for outdoor use, get it with closed eyes!
