This is the best VR I’ve ever had in my life. It’s completely worth the money. I don’t know if you’re looking to take it but you should it’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my life even though now I have zero dollars in my bank account that’s okay. I’m enjoying my life with it.
It definitely worth its money 100% even though here in Greece it is quite more expensive, I got it for 420 while abroad you can find it for something around 300, you definitely need to buy another head strap because its own is quite tiring (either just the strap or with extra battery), but it is definitely a value for money purchase even so
The Meta Quest 3S is ideal for those who want to try virtual reality without spending a lot of money. Although it falls short in some technical specifications compared to the Quest 3, it offers an excellent experience for its price. For experienced users or those seeking top quality, the Quest 3s is the best choice.
I believe that for its price it is very good and powerful, just the issue with the battery that all standalone VRs have. If you want to have a larger battery, meaning to charge and play, your power bank needs to have a USB-C output port
I've only had it for a few days, but I've already drawn the conclusions I wanted to have.
- It is an impressive product. For years, I waited for the prices of VR sets to drop so that I could get one too. And now that moment has come, PLUS the fact that it is not just relatively cheap, but it is also very good.
- The tracking of the hands, body, and space is very good by current standards and quite smooth.
- The passthrough, meaning the room you are in when you see it through the glasses via the cameras, is a very convincing depiction, and you can do small things in your home, even read the screen of your phone while wearing them, but not perfectly.
- There are many applications and very nice games. Also, when all of this is done, you can connect it to Steam and play any games that support VR with the processing power of your computer (a 5GHz router and a cable to the PC are recommended if you do it wirelessly).
- You didn't hear it from me, but piracy has flourished in the world of VR for those who can't afford to buy 20 and 60 euro games every so often, so there are options to play any paid game for free.
- One significant downside of this version is the lenses. You can see well only in the center, and when you turn your eyes towards the edges, you realize that they are blurry at those points and also have some fringing. Anyone willing to spend a bit more money says that the Quest 3 fixes this problem by replacing the lenses with pancake lenses. Nevertheless, I understand that this is what I paid for, and I don't know if I would spend an extra 200 euros just for the lenses, as it's something you get used to.
- Another small downside is that the battery lasts about 2 hours and takes a bit less to charge.
Overall, I think the time has come for VR to start becoming mainstream, and I gradually recommend all technology enthusiasts to get one of these. I love my experience so far, the most comfortable 5 stars I've given in a long time.
The best on the market in terms of quality and price ratio. It has the same good or better pass-through and hand tracking as the "regular" 3, the same powerful latest generation Snapdragon, so all games and applications will run just as well (or even better due to the slightly lower resolution; in fact, the battery, although it is the same according to Meta, lasts longer than on the 3) and it is simply a bit larger in size and has slightly smaller FOV due to the lenses and screens, which are like those of the 2. It is anything but a starter; indeed, the 3 has some better features, but the price difference for most won't be worth it. If they had been released in reverse, the 3s would probably have been called 3 and the 3 would have been called 3 Pro, and most people wouldn't have preferred it. Indeed, here the price is much higher than it should be; in America, it costs 299 dollars, and in Europe, where it is officially sold, it costs 329 euros, so you know, haggle and all is good.
