According to NASW (2022), Clinical Social Work is an important field of specialization in the applied science of Social Work. Clinical Social Work focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental illnesses, as well as emotional and other behavioral disorders. Individual, group, and family therapy are common treatment methods in Clinical Social Work. Also, according to the American Board of Clinical Social Work (2020), Clinical Social Work is a health profession based on theories and methods of prevention and treatment, providing mental health and healthcare services, with a particular emphasis on behavioral and biopsychosocial problems and disorders. Through this book by academic clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and author Dr. Michael LaSala, whose Greek edition was edited by Assistant Professor of Clinical Social Work at D.P.T.
