The Shelly 2PM Gen3 is the new, upgraded, third generation of the dual smart relay Shelly Plus 2PM. It provides measurements on both circuits and can be used to control two independent circuits. In motor/roller control mode, it also supports switching in two directions (e.g., open/close) of a motor, such as a roller or shade.
Its installation is easy due to its compact size, as it can be placed behind switches or installed on a DIN rail inside an electrical cabinet with the help of an adapter.
It connects directly to the Wi-Fi router, without requiring a local hub or bridge for cloud control. It can be installed as a standalone device for automating or measuring two circuits (e.g., sockets or 2 lighting circuits).
It is one of the smallest Wi-Fi devices for smart switch control and smart measurement. Its small size allows installation behind a regular light switch, socket, or in a junction box, enabling remote control of lighting or other loads.
The Shelly 2PM GEN3 is installed behind existing switches and allows remote control of lighting while keeping the existing switch, monitoring status and energy consumption. It is ideal as a retrofit smart solution. Its maximum 16A makes it suitable for socket control.
The switch of the Shelly 2PM GEN3 includes a switch input for each of its two circuits, meaning you can still use the wall to control the lighting fixture.
The relay supports auto-off mode and can be set to momentary switching mode. It activates the input (110V-240V AC / 24V-30V DC) to its output (up to 16A).
Important: the power conductor to the Shelly 2PM Gen3 and the power conductor for the switch input must come from the same phase, it is not suitable for multi-phase operation.
