After an easy and a long run, I have to say that the shoes are worth it and more. Personally, I had no issues with the size even though I have relatively wide feet. They are "high" but did not bother me. For the pace I run (6 to 6:30), they are super. I hope to maintain the same opinion after more kilometers.
I have run 24 km once with an elevation difference of 500 m, in Pendeli. It is enough for me to form an opinion about the shoe. It has the expected size, but for Asics, I think it is a bit narrow. It works for me because I have a narrow foot, but if you have a wide foot, it might bother you. The heel area is excellent, it literally fits perfectly. Really, you can run without even tying the shoe. Like a glove. It is high, but you expect that. In terms of foam, I would say it sits between Novablast and Nimbus. It has better responsiveness than Nimbus and is firmer than Novablast. It doesn't seem heavy for what you get, and generally, I think Asics' FF foam, one of its advantages, is that it is lightweight. Comfortable shoe, it is for many kilometers, but not for times. Very good grip, it doesn't slip at all, not even on wet asphalt. I mention an example on the uphill of Pendeli towards the airbase, which is steep and of poor quality, and had nighttime humidity; it didn't lose grip at all, even when I was running on my toes, and I had no problem on the descent either. The only unexpected thing I noticed is that on the switchbacks downhill, it gave me a feeling of lateral instability. But practically, it's not something dangerous. After all, this route is not the typical training that someone would do; I mainly run in the mountains, and when I run on asphalt, I include uphill sections. In typical running training, you have no issues. It is worth the money. Five stars, nothing is missing from the shoe.
