The Beastmaster 14000 is Shimano's mid-to-long-range reel aimed at anglers who want to take carp fishing or surfcasting to the next level, with a smaller budget. It includes features taken directly from Shimano's more expensive models, such as Super Slow 5 oscillation, Parallel Body, G Free Body, and AR-C spool. During use, you will appreciate the smoothness and power of the HAGANE Gear, while the 4.3:1 gear ratio, which retrieves 103 cm of line per handle turn, ensures that the Beastmaster is as good at fast retrieval as it is at casting. With a minimal turn of the Instant Drag brakes, you can quickly change the brake settings.

I hadn't tried the XB10000 (older model), but this is a "beast." It's not far from the truth to say that the power needed to bring its weight to shore is almost the same as that needed to bring in a 1.5kg bass... It doesn't feel anything. I didn't choose the XB10000 because it was a much older model and would probably be replaced. Of course, the XC14000 has the disadvantage that it requires 350m of 0.40mm line (as if I were fishing in the Atlantic)... In about 6 months, I will "turn" the line "back and forth" and it will last at least 1 year with the initial filling. I would describe its weight as normal for serious surfcasting. As for its quality, it shows in every detail. It's no coincidence that the only "reels" of mine that survive & work properly from purchases 7-10 years ago are only Shimano...
The pick-up doesn't let you open it in the position that suits you for making a shot. You always have to rotate it a bit more for it to open completely, resulting in it blocking the shot afterwards. A problem that I don't have even with a Chinese one for €20. The crank has play in both that I have bought and is very plasticky. I do not recommend them for any reason

I contacted the store, zero customer service... for a 3-day purchase "send it to Shimano to fix it, no returns...".
I called Shimano.. they told me I gather it with my right hand... while it's for left-handed people..... all mechanisms are like this and various nonsense.....
Only a small annoyance occurs when opening the pickup to take a shot, you always have to move a little forward to put it in standby position
Very good for its price, I have married it with a Shimano rod 4.20 Alivio and a 1 kilo Tsipouro, I didn't even realize how I brought it. I highly recommend it, I have had it for 1 year and it hasn't presented any problems.

AMAZING mechanism, truly worth its money. Comfortable in casting and reeling. With a 4.20m fishing rod, the 100-meter shots come easily (you can easily measure the distance since each handle rotation is one meter). The power of 16 kilograms in the brakes says it all, there is no other mechanism in its category and at the price that this one offers for comparison.
