Description

The futuristic monologue Corridor 2, with elements of black comedy, constitutes a second version of the first theatrical work Corridor, written by the songwriter and playwright Eustathia a few years ago. Corridor 2 is essentially a work of deep existential reflection, a unique expression of a modern person struggling to find their footing in the chaos of digital non-reality. "The 'corridor', as a gym instrument and as a fundamental dramaturgical device, serves the dual role of a stage object and a dramaturgical symbol. [...] Against the backdrop of the stage canvas of a science fiction work, the monologue is a particularly sharp and sarcastic social commentary, an existential quest for the limits of personal choices and spiritual self-sufficiency, ultimately the essence of human happiness. It undoubtedly harbors a contemporary political concern, embellished with distinct tones of irony," notes Dr. Rea Grigoriou, Doctor of Modern Greek Theater History-Dramaturgy, in the afterword of the edition.
