This design pays homage to an 18th-century commitment that hosted the Khamsa, an important work by the Persian Sunni Muslim poet Nizami Ganjavi (circa 1141–1209). With intricate floral details, the design of the Layla cover beautifully reflects the content of the original volume.

Nizami's romantic tale of Layla and Majnun provided the name for the eponymous piece by Eric Clapton from the album “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs,” which was heavily influenced by Nizami and his poetry on unrequited love.
