    I bought the case for some old disks I had, and I chose to get the cheapest one I could find so that if it doesn't work properly, I can throw it away without crying over my money. However, I was impressed. I didn't expect it to perform so well.

    In terms of build quality, it's nothing special. But it delivers what it promises. It has normal USB3 speed, and the only limitation was the speed of the disk. I didn't try putting an SSD on it. I bought 3 cases for 3 mechanical disks (one black and 2 silver).

    The cable that comes with the package is of good quality. The small pouch is not leather, but it doesn't slip.

    The disk inside the case didn't heat up at all during file read/write or during my test. I wrote about 800GB and it went from 28C at startup to 30C.

    For the money it asks, it is a decent and honest product.
