The 1,100 most frequent words included in the proposed basic Ancient Greek vocabulary are not static elements, but functional and essential, which within the framework of the language system, with the reception of their various meanings by students, lead both to the understanding of their relationships with Modern Greek and to the understanding of texts from the original.

This study concerns all those who want to inspire Greek children that "they can learn Ancient Greek" by mastering the basic vocabulary, so that they acquire the skill of reading Ancient Greek texts. Namely:

 to those teaching the subject of Ancient Greek Language

 to the authors of Curricula and Study Programs to include in the teaching of the subject the basic vocabulary.

 to the authors of teaching manuals of Ancient Greek language, so that due importance is given to the lexical training of beginner students.
