I hesitated for a long time to buy this thermometer, even though I read everywhere that it is considered the best. On one hand, because in the past I had bad experiences with a very expensive Braun electric shaver model, and on the other hand, because of the negative reviews that all digital thermometers receive, even if for the Thermoscan 7 these represent a very small percentage.
However, since we recently all caught the flu and discovered that all our digital thermometers either had dead batteries or were measuring unreliably, and after our baby broke the only backup mercury thermometer we had for an hour of need because he didn't want to wait 5 minutes to be measured while he was sleeping and my wife accidentally dropped it from her hand, I decided to take the step and order the Thermoscan 7, since when searching the market for the best digital thermometer, you come across this thermometer again and again.
I DON'T KNOW IF I JUST HAPPENED TO FIND A GOOD THERMOMETER FOR MYSELF, BUT FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT INFLUENCED BY THE FEW NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON SCOUTZ/AMAZON/YOUTUBE AND I GAVE THIS MODEL A CHANCE!

No matter how many times the same person is measured, the measurement is always, always ACCURATE and always the same, and it can be easily done even blindly (e.g. measuring on myself) and there is absolutely no variation in the measurements.

Those who say that the thermometer has a deviation compared to a mercury thermometer, I hope they compared it by putting the mercury thermometer IN THEIR EAR, because in the ear - according to our pediatrician - we measure the CORE BODY TEMPERATURE and this measurement should never, ever be compared to measurements in the armpit, etc. So, many people should bother to read a manual, which explains everything.

The "beeps" that the thermometer produces during use DO NOT WAKE UP THE PERSON being measured, as some people claim. They are very low-intensity sounds that are barely audible in general, which is good.
The only slight negative thing about its menu, which in no way is a reason not to buy this thermometer, is that it doesn't "remember" the last age selection and the user has to select it again every time they activate it. Additionally, when it is activated, the youngest age is preselected, and considering that children eventually grow up in a family, it would be more logical to have the adult as the default selection.
IF I DON'T HAVE UNPLEASANT SURPRISES AGAIN FROM THIS BRAUN PRODUCT LIKE THE DISAPPOINTMENT I HAD WITH THEIR NAUTARCHIS ELECTRIC SHAVER IN TERMS OF QUALITY/DURABILITY, THEN THIS THERMOMETER IS WORTH ITS MONEY AND DEFINITELY DESERVES 5 STARS, OTHERWISE I WILL COME BACK AND DEMOTE IT TO 4 STARS (or even 4 stars, if possible).
