The MC210CS is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-LX fiber to 1000Base-T copper or vice versa. It is designed according to IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-LX standards and is compatible with single-mode fiber cable using the SC-Type connector. The MC210CS supports long-wave (LX) laser specifications with full transmission speed. It operates at 1310nm for both data transmission and reception processes.

Other features of this model include the ability to be used as a standalone device (without needing frames) or with the TP-Link TL-MC1400 chassis, Auto MDI/MDI-X for the TX port, and status LEDs on the front side. The MC210CS will transmit over extended fiber optic distances using single-mode fiber up to 20 kilometers.
