- Reduces bulimia resulting in decreased intake of fats and carbohydrates, while also regulating the proper absorption of nutrients by the body. Reduces levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, thereby regulating the patient's lipid profile.
- Inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids, thus reducing fat accumulation in the human body. This is achieved in 3 ways:
A. It prevents the synthesis of ATP citrate lyase, resulting in the inhibition of lipogenesis.
B. Promotes fat metabolism by eliminating toxins and fat metabolism products.
C. Prevents lipogenesis in muscles and the liver, without simultaneously causing oxidation and elimination of proteins (as happens during diets where valuable proteins are eliminated from these muscles).
- Eliminates excess sugars from the body. All these actions achieve an increase in the basal metabolic rate (BMR) ratio, which means the body consumes more calories.
