Simply leaves a layer on top of the lips, it doesn't moisturize them on its own. If you have dry lips, it won't help, you need to already have moisturized lips and use it preventively to avoid cracking. The only thing that made a difference for me was the lip balm with hyaluronic acid from Liposan, which is half the price and can be found at the supermarket. I use this particular one on my cuticles at night after applying cream, and it helps retain some moisture

  La Roche Posay is a very good company. However, for this product, I wonder why there are good reviews. It dries out after a while. It does not hydrate at all. It makes the lips worse. It is one of the worst products. Obviously, they have ruined its formulation. Please improve it.

  I got it out of curiosity because of comments from people who also did the treatment for acne, without having an issue with the balm I was using before. I can't say I am satisfied with this one. It moisturizes and corrects to a moderate extent, and leaves a sweet taste on the lips. For me, the Uriage equivalent works exceptionally well, which was recommended to me by the doctor and is half the price as it comes in 15ml. If the other one didn't exist, I would buy it again.

  I have bought this product many times. It is one of the few (maybe even the only one) that helped my very chapped lips and the two times I took pills for acne. I mainly apply it at night and put Vaseline on top, in the morning I wake up with hydrated and soft lips.

  Personally, it saved me from incredible dryness that I was experiencing due to the use of acne medication. My lips had reached a point where I couldn't feel them because of the burning and wounds they had suffered. A friend recommended it to me and it really did a great job. I didn't apply it all day, mainly at night before sleep, and I would wake up and reapply it in between, and also 1-2 times during the day, while simultaneously using a regular lip balm.
