Katadyn Survivor 06-LS-RES Seawater Desalinator

The Katadyn Survivor 06-LS-RES seawater desalinator uses reverse osmosis to filter dissolved salts through a semi-permeable membrane. Only 10% of the water is allowed to pass through the membrane, while the remaining 90% flows alongside it, ensuring self-cleaning of the membrane and the removal of discarded salts.

The small pores of the membrane ensure the production of clean drinking water under high pressure (typically 55 bar), blocking impurities, salts, and other pollutants. The reverse osmosis technology is widely used in many industries, including semiconductors and medicine.

The Katadyn Energy Recovery system exploits the stored energy of the high-pressure discharge water, recycling it to the back of the piston. This leads to higher energy efficiency and a more sustainable water purification process.
