I had the Clifton 6, the 8, and now the 9 in size 46 2/3.
The 9 now has a firmer foam and the laces have been brought back, resulting in needing a different tying method to avoid hurting the top of the foot.
Other than that, they are like the older models: Comfortable, spacious in the toes, "warm" without good ventilation, e.g., like the Nimbus, and they don't slip.
With the 6, I did 2000 km until they opened up at one point, but they had settled; with the 8, I have 1200 km and they look like new on the outside but have settled for long runs; I have only 70 km on the 9.
I am a fan.
great shoes, light and comfortable, very relaxed feeling of the sole(which is the main reason i bought them, since i had already the anacapa and was amazed from the comfortability in relation to other brands)
I almost never give five stars. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the shoe. To the point that I regret wearing it for walking and wear it for casual. It is very good, comfortable, and lightweight; it makes you want to walk. You don't get tired and you have the energy and stamina for more walking.
Very good quality and very lightweight. However, be aware that it has a particular "lift" at the height of the arch of the foot. Personally, it bothers me on my left foot. It would be good to try them on before purchasing. If you don't have a problem with the arch of the foot, they are perfect.
I liked it, it's what I wanted. Very comfortable, very lightweight, relaxing. When you take it off your feet, you feel like you’re a car without shock absorbers.
I haven't worn a better shoe. You put it on and you fly. It breathes and your foot doesn't sweat easily. But because it is a very soft shoe to step on, if you have issues with your feet (outward or inward pronation), it worsens it and is a wrong purchase.
Excellent shoe for walking, very anatomical, comfortable and absorbs EVERYTHING completely. Somewhat warm during prolonged use. Used as a recovery shoe, simply perfect and in comparison with similar brands of the same category!
This is the second time I choose them, I got the first pair in August '23 for casual running and walking and they are still holding up. I am 1.91 meters tall, weigh 100 kilograms, and run on uneven terrain, yet they endure and are very comfortable with a perfect fit. A small piece of the sole came off the first pair three months ago, I glued it back and they haven't had any other issues since then. That's why I got a second pair! I consider it a very honest shoe, especially for larger individuals.
I bought them for this season, all day on my feet with thousands of steps and standing, the shoes are the best I have ever worn and I have tried many in their category over the years, my feet didn't hurt me even for a day and they remain soft to a degree, while something incredibly important is that they maintained their shape, those of you with weird feet understand what I mean, unfortunately I give 4 stars and not 5, because like everything I have tried, they tore at one point, I wouldn't say this is an issue with the shoe or the company because obviously they are not made for the work I used them for but for running, nor is there a quality issue, it's just something that disappointed me in another such shoe, I will definitely buy them again
Simply perfect. This is the second pair I am buying. Size 46 2/3 and weighs 285 grams. Durable. Walking 5 times a week, weights, and extra pounds. Since 2003, I have been buying shoes from €120 - €200. These are clearly the best!!!!!
I noticed a small wear at the bottom of the shoe on the sole. It looks like pieces are coming off. It hasn't affected the shoe's performance but it has raised concerns for me regarding the quality of construction and durability. So far, after three months of daily use, it has kept me satisfied.
Very good for what it is. Training shoe, relatively slow, ideal for long runs and very spacious in the toe area. Particularly stable and medium to good grip. In terms of durability, average but even with many kilometers on it and a quite worn sole, it has good cushioning.
In April 22, I timidly started running with Pegasus 38. The next purchases were Clifton 9, Arahi 8, Asics Novablast 3 & Nimbus 25. Today I return again to Clifton 9 while the others were great shoes. Long story short: for those who run for their soul, who enjoy long easy runs at 06:00 - 06:30, they are just perfect. Definitely not for tempo. For that, superblast. Fair for the money but still whatever suits each of us.
I had gotten the Clifton 8 for a season, an amazing shoe, I had them for 1.5 years and they are still sitting on the side. I got the Clifton 9 four months ago and already at the bottom pieces have started to come off and the fabric on top has torn. I accept that I work 12 hours every day, but it's a shame that the Clifton 8 worked out very well for me and the 9 are garbage. Stay away
I did not expect that after so many positive reviews it would be a shoe that you can't wear for more than 3 hours. I work in service and even the Puma Cat shoes, which are flat, are more comfortable on my feet. These shoes, after 2-3 hours, start hurting you everywhere. Light shoe, but not as they present it, that it is top and you can run for 700 hours straight. Stay away
The shoe is excellent in cushioning, thanks to its thick and soft material sole. You feel like you have springs pushing you upwards with every step. The only negative is that the foot gets a little warmer during use. The reason is that the fabric is very dense on the upper part and the foot does not breathe very well. I think it is one of the best shoes on the market.
I bought them mainly because of the plantar fasciitis that has been bothering me for 6-7 months. According to the orthopedist, a good pair of athletic shoes would help me a lot because the previous ones seemed to burden me quite a bit.
My physiotherapist suggested that I try 3 running shoes. The Clifton 9, the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3, and the Brooks Glycerin.
I tried the Clifton 9 and since the other two were not available in my size that day, and I liked how they felt, I bought them and wore them right away. After about half an hour of walking, I started to have intense discomfort (almost pain) in my right arch, and it was starting to bother my left arch as well. I also read the reviews here and on Reddit about many cases of the same problem and realized that in a flat arch like mine, it puts a lot of pressure on the arch. Overall, it seems to be a really good shoe with a good sole, so if you don't have a flat arch, it might be perfect, otherwise, you should try it out a bit.
In the end, I returned them and bought the Brooks Glycerin, which really suited me very well.
One of the worst shoes I have ever worn. I bought them for orthopedic reasons and hours of work and I had heard very good comments. My experience is that they destroyed my feet with blisters and calluses. ☹️
