The rubber feet keep it stable on melamine flooring, the 2 separate pedals for the feet are very convenient, they don't squeak and move comfortably, but not uncontrollably so you can maintain a stable position for your feet. The height also suited me very well using one of the two sets of bases. My posture has changed and now I work more comfortably without straining my legs and lower back.
