We often play it with 2 players and we really enjoy it. You can also play it alone. You have a board and a marker and you note the best possible combination of roads to collect points, depending on what the dice will bring. Inside, it also has 2 "expansions" (=more dice) and you definitely won't get bored early. It's not a board game that's just fun, it's somewhat like a puzzle, perfect for travel.
