If the recent modernization agenda of the crisis has inherently accepted the affirmation of the postmodern condition, the post-war version of the modernist vision was from the beginning infused with the influence of the reactionary Modernism of the 1930s, a movement that glorified technology and industrialization.

In the postmodern period, this ideology provided ample ready material for the production and theoretical support of a large number of scenographic architectural excesses in prominent locations of Greek cities.
