Nice coffee for a morning wake-up. Nothing like the Starbucks Nespresso, thankfully. There is no trace of a chemical aftertaste or strong roasting. Notes of dark chocolate and cocoa even in lungo, with lasting flavor. It often comes with a 40% discount and is available in packages of 20 and 40.

2024-10-17Expert userThis review is about the total weight: 208 grVery good coffee but expensive...75-88 euros per kilo!!!! So I bought a coffee machine. Purchased on 20/7/2022 from a well-known yellow eshop for 280 euros. Quality construction is worth it compared to buying coffee outside and from the supermarket at 40-80 euros per kilo. It has paid for itself in about three months if you drink 2 to 4 coffees a day or two doubles or four singles. Also, a good coffee machine costs 130 to 150 euros + a good grinder 50 euros + this stainless steel thing you use to make the coffee 210 to 220, you spend 270 and relax, you press a button and the coffee comes out without waiting for it to be ground and tamped one by one and being in the wait... I just wondered how I hadn't gotten it years ago and was paying for those with capsules at 88 euros per kilo and saying, "Come on, 40 cents per capsule." Now it costs 14 cents!!!! Not to mention that after a while you get tired of making them one by one!!!! Also, if you look at it financially, it's another 20 euros a month with an average of 58 coffees, so that's 240 euros a year, and another with capsule lot 88 euros per kilo at least per month and 1056 euros a year for coffees. This way, the coffee machine pays for itself. Besides, you can compare coffee prices from skroutz.. The three stars are for the price... and because I want 2 double morning coffees, I need 4 capsules and in the afternoon another 4... 3.2 euros a day... 90 euros a month... in 3 months the machine was free for me... now I want 200 euros a year!!!! for coffee...

Nice machine, nice taste.
I have set the single shot to come out at 9-10 seconds and the double shot at 15 seconds. This is due to the fluidity. The genuine Nespresso pierces much easier and the coffee flows much faster than the L'Or. That's why I found my own taste in these settings. Note that the 12 seconds, for example, that you like in the L'Or, if you use a Costa Coffee, it will not come out with the same composition and may not taste the same. I consider them inferior compared to the original Nespresso capsules both in aroma and taste. I have also tried the Starbucks capsules, and I have the same opinion. Seeing how high ratings they gather, I am surprised, someone will of course say that there is an element of subjectivity, okay... it's all about taste. The positives are the lower price compared to the original capsules and that you can find them in supermarkets. To be as clear as I can... I'm not saying that the coffee is undrinkable or bad. I am making a comparison review with the original capsules and always according to my own taste, which in the end we may not all share.

From the very good ones you can buy, I am looking for one that can make a good freddo espresso, and I can say that so far there are 4 that can do it: ISPIRAZIONE RISTRETTO ITALIANO, ISPIRAZIONE NAPOLI, ISPIRAZIONE PALERMO KAZAAR, and this one from L'Or.
Positives:
-Thick body
-Does not easily dissolve from the ice cubes (does not become watery)
-Balanced flavorNegatives:
-None.It is particularly worth it for its price (€3.15 for 10 pieces). Of course, if money is not a problem, I would prefer one of the Nespresso ones I mentioned earlier.

For Fredo, 2 lungo capsules are ideal. Its taste, in Fredo, is honest.
For plain espresso (hot), I might prefer capsules from another brand.

Favorite Nespresso capsules, I prefer them over the official Nespresso ones. It's a ristretto but it has a strong flavor. I add water to make it a lungo and it's not watery at all. It's a strong coffee and perfect for a pure and unbeatable taste. I order it frequently.

For me, who wants a strong aroma and intense flavor with high caffeine, this coffee is perfect. It becomes even better if you mix it with Fortuna Nespresso capsules for a smoother and richer taste (due to its high content of robusta) or with L'or Onyx for a stronger and slightly spicy flavor. The construction of the capsules is on par with Nespresso.
And especially at the prices I find it on Scroutz ( ~0.25€/capsule), it is the ultimate value for money choice.

Of all the brands I've tried, nespresso, illy, starbucks, these are my favorites in terms of price and quality. Very nice aroma and intensity. Strong coffee, I use it for Lungo and it comes out great without being watery. It is stronger than L'Or Lungo and more delicious, so I will insist on this one and not on the Lungo I used to get before. Much better than most Nespresso (it's a personal preference but I don't like the butter/oil they have in Nespresso coffees). Try this little one, it has 10 capsules inside (I can see myself getting a pack of 20 for later).
