Stratamed is a self-stabilizing silicone gel, non-sticky and transparent, for the prevention and treatment of deformative scars such as hypertrophic scars and keloids. It can be applied to any fresh surgical incision or excision, open wound, and skin surfaces that have experienced a break in continuity.

It is also suitable for:

• chemical peels
• abrasions
• superficial burns from radiotherapy

Stratamed is suitable for exposed areas such as the face and neck, as well as areas like joints and areas covered with hair, without requiring hair removal. It can be used with or without protective dressing.

When used appropriately, it dries quickly and forms a thin silicone sheet, a protective semi-permeable membrane. It regulates wound moisture and gas exchange, offering protection to the affected skin or open wounds from chemical and microbial infiltration.
