Everything is great. The only negative I can find is that it takes a few seconds to connect to the app (about 10s)
The positives are that it looks like a good quality device and provides a good image day and night. The negatives are more significant for me, which is why I consider it a failed purchase.
1. It does not have good WiFi. To the point where my phone shows -64 db and achieves a Speedtest of 30 Mbit, the camera indicates that it has a poor signal and struggles to connect immediately. There are 3 brick walls in between and the distance is 5 meters. This is with a router frequency of 2.4, because at 5 it doesn't pick up at all outside the house.
2. The app on Android does not send notifications when it detects motion. On iPhone it does, so it is not a camera issue but an app issue. The two cameras of the same brand that I have for indoor use send push notifications normally on both Android and iOS.
So if you want the camera to send you a message when the thief climbs onto the balcony, before he breaks in, you are out of luck.
3. While with two other indoor cameras of the same brand I can automatically send videos to the NAS for storage, this camera does not have that capability; instead, it only saves them to its memory. So if the thief takes it with him or breaks it, the recording is lost. The only recording option is to subscribe to Xiaomi, at 7 euros a month.
