I bought it because I am a Samsung fan! And I own headphones and a phone from Samsung!
- The battery is just fine! I charge it every 2 days. *(keep in mind that it’s not just a simple fitness watch, it runs a lot of things in the background)
- I have had it for about 2 weeks now! And I really like it, I can answer calls! I can reply to messages on Instagram, for example! I really enjoy listening to music, besides being able to change tracks from the watch! I can see the album art, etc.
- Now, as for whether it’s worth buying! Definitely yes! If you don’t have a smartwatch! And you’re looking for one! It’s definitely a good purchase! But if you already own, for example, the Samsung smartwatch 6! No... then it’s not worth the upgrade!
Beautiful and lightweight compared to the ultra. It has a comfortable strap and didn't bother me even while sleeping. It has a lot of features and definitely requires some adjustment at first.
As for the battery, it definitely needs proper management to last 1.5 - 2 days, and it also has a watch-only mode that lasts several days.
Tip: through the routines, you can set some watch settings to change automatically. For example, different watch faces depending on location or activity (office, workout, home)
Coming from the 4, I have to say that it is lighter, more compact in the hand, and more elegant, it has a better touch on the screen, meaning it responds more easily. The speaker for calls is much better; with the other one, I could neither hear well nor could they hear me. Here, they tell me it’s like I’m talking on the phone while I’m doing chores. Very quick and easy connection. The menu is the same but has some improvements. Their very high price, of course (especially outside of Skroutz), for being more or less the same among them is unjustified. The battery, unfortunately, like the 4, is small, but a little better, perhaps because it’s new, of course, another downside in relation to the price.
I will also make a review saying that for me so far everything is perfect! I bought it to help me with exercise, that is, to have measurements of calories, heart rate, time, with more accurate measurements and everything is perfect! I am satisfied with the many other measurements it does personally. The battery lasts me a day if I use it; if I just have it counting steps and I only check the time, yes, it lasts me another day. Generally, the battery depends on how someone uses it. I have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on, I count steps, and I don't have an issue with the battery, while many are dissatisfied. However, we are talking about a watch, not a phone, which is constantly active depending on the use, of course. Besides, we charge our phones every day. AND I should also emphasize that it charges in 1 hour, it doesn't take more. For me, it's worth it!
Very good product. I give 4 stars only because of the battery life, which I have to charge daily, something that shouldn't be necessary for a watch. Of course, with such features it drains the battery, but still it should last 2 days. I use it daily and I can say I am quite satisfied. The price is a bit high but for the first time it's okay. The delivery of the product was the worst, as I had chosen next day delivery due to travel and it was only next day that it wasn't.
Overall, it's a nice watch and I might give it 4 stars. But if you have a phone of another brand, forget many of its functions. And not because there is any incompatibility, it's just that Samsung doesn't want to keep them open; it tells you to go get a Samsung phone to use the other 40% of its capabilities.
So with another phone, you forget the Health monitor, electrocardiogram, blood pressure monitor, and functions like finding your phone, opening any app from the watch directly on the phone, and vice versa, e.g., to change the watch face or see live measurements from the watch, etc...
Another major downside is the battery. With wifi and GPS completely off, no exercise measurements, no calls, music, etc., the watch lasts 1.5 days! I only have Bluetooth on, heart rate measurement every 10 minutes, pedometer, and sleep measurement. Only the sleep measurement drains 20% overnight.
Also, since I connected it to the phone, I can only read the last line of messages from Messenger, Instagram, etc., whether from the phone or the watch. Otherwise, I have to open the app.
On the positive side, I will mention the quality, its appearance, and only the heart rate measurement and sleep measurement, which are very useful for me. The oxygen measurement is ridiculous; it requires very ideal conditions; otherwise, it shows 70-90% during sleep. The pedometer is acceptable; it sometimes misses or counts more, but it gives an average.
In conclusion, don't spend so much money on this watch if you don't have a Samsung phone unless you like it and are satisfied with its basic functions. I know that fanboys will give a negative vote, but what can we do; some want to know about the problems too. You can find the positives on Samsung's page; don't take it personally...
two stars for two reasons
1. body temperature is measured only during sleep. it does not measure body temperature.
2. the much-advertised sleep apnea detection feature is NOT available in Greece.
quite a good product, great variety in measurements and amazing interface on samsung health. The measurements are sometimes inaccurate and the battery unfortunately barely lasts 24 hours if tracking exercise.
It is a very good smartwatch. I got it for measuring blood pressure during the night but also during the day. My strap is a bit wide but I have a very thin wrist.
Coming from the 4 and as a holder of the 6 classic, I consider this a significant upgrade. Everything happens faster even compared to the 6, let alone compared to the 4. There is a major upgrade in the battery which now, with my usage, lasts even a second full day. The 4 barely lasted 24 hours with sleep tracking and notifications on. For anyone in this price range, I highly recommend it. I can't provide a detailed opinion on activity tracking, so I overlooked that.
Coming from the Samsung Watch 4 of 2021, I can say that we are now talking about a complete smartwatch that with One UI 6 runs exceptionally well! No delays, no lag (issues I had with the Watch 4).
The differences from the €200 more expensive Ultra are minimal!
The only seriously notable difference is the larger battery!
Here we are talking about 48 to even quite borderline 60 hours (while the Ultra lasts a day longer).
Personally, my setup is AOD off - Wi-Fi off - location off, activation with the wrist, notifications, heart rate monitoring /10 min - oxygen, body temperature all night!
Two additional positive selection criteria are the weight of just 33g and the thickness of 9.7mm.
Finally, at the same time as my purchase, I combined it with a Ringke case along with tempered glass! The color of the watch case (looks like metallic gray) matched perfectly with the color of the case!
It has made my work easier as I can see notifications, talk on the phone, set timers, have quick contacts on the watch, and many other things, that's why I bought it after all. My brother has the 6 classic and it lags quite a bit when new, so I was a bit anxious buying this, but I am not disappointed at all; it is a very useful tool in my life, it saves me time, it doesn't lag at all unlike the 6, and it is quite durable. It has taken a lot of hits and only the metal has scratched a little. The only small issue is the battery; first, it lasts 1.5 days with Wi-Fi and location turned off, and it also does not work with many of my big chargers in terms of fast charging. I don't have a Samsung charger, and so far, none of the type C to type C chargers I have charge it quickly; it takes about 2.5 hours. If I use a 33/45W charger from type A to type C, it charges in 1.5 hours. Other than that, it's a very good investment; I don't regret it at all.
Everything is fine to a degree, the battery is inadequate. It doesn't last even a day without heavy use. Essentially, you charge it as much as your smartphone, maybe even more often depending on usage! I believe it should have better autonomy (about 2 days with light use).
I come from the Apple Watch Ultra and I can only say the best things. This is my first experience with the Samsung Galaxy Watch and I am left speechless. The battery, with normal use, meaning with messages, several calls on the watch, heart rate monitoring, and whatever else runs in the background, lasts me 2.5 days. And since the Apple Watch I had lasted me 3 days, I have no problem if the Samsung lasts just one day, because it charges very quickly.
The watch 7 is a beautiful simple design watch, with a nice practical strap. It has a beautiful dial with very good brightness, nice colors, and a variety of designs. Good speaker and microphone. It works perfectly with a Samsung phone and has a very fast processor. Its battery is a downside! It needs charging every day. So the LTE function, for those who have it, becomes essentially useless since it consumes a lot of battery! The step measurements are like a Korean princess! It counts many more steps than the actual ones! Heart rate is accurate, but many times it freezes and makes continuous measurements on its own even though it is not set to that position! Of course, heart rate variability, blood pressure, blood oxygen, body energy, sleep, stress, etc., are in my opinion just the dragon in the fairy tale!
I have had the watch for 1 week and I can say that I own the best watch I have ever had. The design and feel are expectedly premium as I imagined, it is quite fast executing all the commands I requested, I had accuracy in health measurements and I was very impressed by the excellent speakers and microphone it has. The battery life has improved with the latest update because before that there were issues with autonomy. For me, it is the best available on the market up to €500 and it is worth every last cent. My rating is 9.5/10 Excellent
better than all its predecessors, with excellent functionality, speed, build quality, comfort (like you’re not wearing it) and screen clarity. A multitude of applications. Charging every other day. Like all SAMSUNG and Apple smartwatches. Unfortunately, we can't have it all.
Update September 3, 24: truly high-level health measurements. Blood pressure is worth every penny.
