The game is a remake of the classic title in the series, fully revamped and with new features based on the capabilities offered by the PS4.

Two decades after the deadly plague that appeared in the world, those who managed to avoid infection live in quarantine within the city limits, the Quarantine Zones, while outside of them roam the infected who are always dangerous. With no government left in the USA, the country has turned into a lawless and inhospitable place. Nature is slowly restoring the natural landscape and emerging within the dilapidated and destroyed buildings. Our heroes, Joel & Ellie, meet each other and their struggle for survival takes on new dimensions as they come from two completely different worlds.
