Cools the Ryzen 5 5600x processor. In demanding games, the fans are simply noticeable and not annoying. In games like:
1) Assassin's Creed Valhalla
2) Red Dead Redemption 2
3) Elder Scrolls Online
the temperature ranges from 47 to 60 on ultra high with a GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid graphics card. I am absolutely satisfied! At first, I researched endlessly among various coolers, but in the end, I chose this one for €48 when I bought it, and it has exceeded my expectations! Perhaps the only downside that I still haven't figured out how to adjust is the RGB. So it lights up by itself in various colors. Overall, I believe it is an incredibly good cooler. And I would recommend it to anyone with closed eyes after countless videos, reviews on many foreign sites, and various comparisons with much more expensive coolers like Noctua.
Installation on AM4 - R7 5800x. One of the "hottest" processors. Previously, I had the Hyper 212 Evo. With 55°C at idle and 80+ during gaming. The switch to the Phantom Spirit brought the processor down to 39°C at idle and 62°C during gaming. Therefore, it rightfully deserves to be one of the best air coolers available on the market right now.
(I don't have a spacious case, and my RX 6800 generates a lot of heat inside.)
Aesthetically, I believe the photos do not do the product justice. In person, it is much more beautiful. The fans have very nice and uniform aRGB, they are sturdy and quite high quality, at least for the price of the package. I have no complaints. As for the noise, at high speeds, they make their presence felt, but I don't consider it a problem. There are much noisier coolers on the market. At moderate speeds, you don't even realize they are in the case.
Therefore, although the price is a bit high in Greece (I bought it for ≈50€), I believe it is one of the best choices one can make.
Excellent cooler at a very good price for what it offers, it's a pity that there is not a variety of options in the Greek market.
This is the evolution of the Peerless Assassin 120 with design improvements and relatively better performance than its predecessor and many older generation coolers (google it and you will find several videos on youtube and various reviews on testing sites). Unfortunately, it was not available in the Greek market about a year ago when it was purchased.
Very compact dimensions, dual radiator, 7 (!) heat pipes, clearly dense fin mesh for better heat dissipation along with a good cold plate application on the CPU's upper surface guarantee efficiency, without requiring a small fortune for cooling hot processors. In comparative tests on testing sites, this cooler is considered equivalent or better than several more expensive air or AIO options.
The two 120mm fans, while not performance monsters (1550 rpm max on a b550 motherboard), have satisfactory static pressure as they are intended for a cooler anyway. Moreover, if the potential buyer is interested in good performance in terms of (not excessive) noise levels, they will be very satisfied in my opinion. The lights are also fine and synchronized through the motherboard's program (b550 tomahawk) without any issues, for those interested, considering this parameter as a selection criterion (I am not a fan myself).
The provided thermal paste is of good quality but spreads difficultly, being viscous, which is not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion (as there is a proper way of application if you search online and on the manufacturer's website/instructions). It may give you trouble during the (re)installation of one of the two screws with a spring provided in the AM4 mounting system (it happened in my case, but I did not follow the instructions).
Overall, it is quiet and very efficient. The Ryzen 7 5800x, being a hot CPU, in the summer with +/- 30-32°C ambient temp, stays below 80°C in a 30-minute test with aida64 stress test at 4.45ghz all cores (-30 PBO curve optimizer, but without reading the paste application instructions), almost throughout the duration of the 30 minutes in a well-ventilated case, with very average intake fans. Very sporadically, it may reach 81-82°C for a very short time, [depending of course on the airflow, the arrangement/quality/capabilities of the intake/exhaust fans and the tower itself]. The Ryzen 3700x at 4.38ghz all cores (about 1.23-1.24 volts) in the same test, reaches a maximum of 70-71°C or 2-3°C less.
In conclusion, this may be one of the top 2-3 best value-for-money air cooler options. Therefore, it is worth buying despite any minor flaws. It is worth noting that it is compatible with AM4/AM5, as the manufacturer states in the specs.
