The "Heroes Avenue" records the history of Panathinaikos during the years of war and occupation (1940-1944). It presents - with absolute attention and dedication to real events - the resistance, social, political, and of course athletic activity of the people of Panathinaikos during this period. The study is based on primary - previously unpublished - sources, such as the minutes of the Panathinaikos administrative boards from 1940 to 1944. The book is also enriched with rare photographs and documents.
