The review for the v3. Everything as everyone has generally written here, good range, stability, passive PoE with injector in the package, etc. Let's get to the spicier parts! It is, at the very least, unacceptable for a Small Business AP (as it self-advertises) not to be able to set Access Permissions with MAC filter whitelist but only Blacklist and not with MAC filter editor (it doesn't have one!!!), but simply to exclude a device that has already connected with its IP... total nonsense! White/Black Listing with MAC filtering and editor is supported even by small APs from the same company that cost less than 20 bucks and were released to the market during their first firmware version 10 years ago and are still being sold!!!
The problem I describe does not exist in the v2. The v2 has proper MAC filtering and editor for black/white listing. So for anyone interested in the issue I describe, the v3 is more of a downgrade than an upgrade regarding the software/firmware aspect.
Also, for business use, the v2's portal allows you to upload an image that the customer will see on their device when connecting. The v3 does not have this feature. For me, the range, speed, stability, and flexibility of the PoE injector save it. Especially the range is quite satisfactory!
I connected this one with the HCN router, which was not just bad or mediocre, but completely disastrous for WIFI! It is flawless in all the features it offers. Great range in a 120 sq.m house with thick walls and no disconnection or low signal issues!
It does exactly what it is intended for. Much better range compared to the provider's router.
On the plus side, it supports the latest security protocol WPA3.
Also a plus is the fact that the package includes a POE Adapter which practically powers the device with data and electricity only through an Ethernet cable.
I have nothing negative to write about it for as long as I have been using it. You plug it in and forget about it.
Very good for 50€, I use it as an Access Point, getting network through Ethernet from a nearby building. It is pre-set, you just plug it in and it works. Its settings are very easy and it can automatically recognize 2.4 and 5ghz networks. Its range is excellent in open spaces, although the walls hinder its signal quite a bit
Replaced tplink router that was working as an access point. Absolutely stable!! (with the previous one, I had occasional signal interruptions) and better coverage than the quite good previous one. I can't compare the speed because the way I use wifi has changed, but I have no complaints. The PoE is important, which I use to power it from the UPS.
A basic and commendable for its price AP. It comes with a passive PoE injector in the box, which I did not expect and turned out to be very useful. Right off the bat, it gave me 600mbps between my mobile and computer on the 5GHz band, and the range is very satisfactory in a medium-sized house of 110 square meters. I couldn't ask for more for 50€.
It is used as a Repeater with very stable operation, without losing almost any speed from the original Router that is located 100 meters away with several obstacles.
Excellent AP. I have bought it for our house and for my father's house as well.
Very stable with amazing range (greater than I expected - it covers a three-story house including the ground floor - it is installed on the 3rd floor!)
Easy to manage user menu. You can do many things through its interface.
In fact, at my father's house, I completely turned off the wifi of the modem-router and let only this specific AP share the wireless signal.
I highly recommend it.
Do not bother with compact repeaters and access points. This one easily covers two floors, even at 5gh you will be amazed, it is more powerful than all the ones that have been tested, especially those from the "small" market and expensive ones. I use it as a repeater. It is worth its money.
I use it exclusively as an access point and it is excellent for the use I want, essentially to cover a single space of 60 square meters without obstacles (walls, columns). Even on the upper floor, its signal is stronger than the provider's router located on the same floor!
With a lower intensity set by the provider, it clearly has better range and stability at the limits of coverage. One could say it "turns corners to reach you" when you are behind two or three walls.
The ideal machine does everything at a low price for what it offers. It can reach the full range of speed you have on the network on both frequencies. 30Mbps on the 2.4GHz frequency, which is the frequency limit, and up to 200Mbps on the 5GHz frequency. Ten times better than the equivalent ones that plug into the socket.
I got it a few days ago and for now I am fully satisfied! Very easy installation even for someone inexperienced who just wants to plug it in and make it work (plug & play). Very simple and user-friendly menu, further settings are also very easy to be done without any knowledge required.
I replaced the WiFi of the well-known white router of the provider... with this one and the speed in all the devices of the house increased impressively. The coverage expands significantly and I am expecting to confirm the stability as well, although I am almost sure!!! I would buy it again with closed eyes. Essential if you have IP WiFi cameras!
It includes a 12V power supply, a POE adapter, and a 1m ethernet cable
I use it for about 10 days as an Access Point, connecting it to the router with a tp link powerline AV600, and it adequately covers 80 sq.m. However, I would like slightly better performance on the 2.4 GHz band, as it only reaches up to 30 with a 50 Mbps connection. On the 5 GHz band, it reaches the limit of 50.
It would also be good to have more management and control options in the menu.
I have had it for several months. I am completely satisfied. I have had to power cycle it only twice in a period of over 5 months, and I'm not entirely sure if the device was actually the problem or something else. Its range seems to be very good, as well as its speed.
Its installation, although not for beginners, will not be difficult for someone who knows the basics and reads the instructions. One very positive aspect is that it allows you to fully customize it, which will satisfy more experienced users who have a more custom environment and need different settings than the default ones.
I consider the purchase to be excellent and highly recommend it!
After how long I have it and countless disconnections per day in use in the next room, I hate it... it definitely wasn't worth its money, one of the worst purchases I have made
