For those who know about Epirus tsipouro made from the Zampela variety, the taste and aroma of Eothinon are very familiar. Of course, this aged tsipouro is stronger in alcohol content than the regular Epirus tsipouro for everyday consumption. It was worth the purchase, especially at the price I found it (€17.50, but let's not forget that the bottle is 500ml).
I must add that in the second tasting, a few days after opening the bottle, the aromas from the aging process became more intense, as did the taste, so I understood why many compare it to whiskey. However, it doesn't remind me of rum or cognac (which I don't particularly like).

A very nice aged tsipouro with a strong flavor and aroma at the end, without being an expert it leaves me with a strong aftertaste from the barrel. A very good choice and at an exceptional price.

Now that aged tsipouro has become the new "trend" for those who want to avoid typical 3-year-old whiskies but find 40-year-old cognacs a bit too much for regular consumption, this particular one is a very good and satisfying choice (and mainly affordable).
Straight or with two ice cubes, as the advertisements say, for a closure after a satisfying meal or accompanied by dried fruits and nuts, it will perfectly cover without giving a headache to anyone who tries it.
It's not whiskey and if there should be any comparison, it's more of a brandy, colder and less sweet.
