The game so far is wonderful!
The new mechanism with the echoes makes you think and develop your strategy more, which automatically makes it more interesting.
Collecting echoes of items to use them to solve puzzles and reach new areas is fun.
Collecting echoes of monsters allows for strategy when fighting other monsters, meaning which to use against which enemy, etc.
As you progress in the game, you collect more and more echoes, which you use to reach new areas, build bridges, etc. Surely some will also be your favorites in the sense that you use them more, e.g., bed, trampoline, water block.
I think I am currently close to the end of the game having defeated several bosses and gained more hearts and Tri energy, which allows you to create more echoes simultaneously as you level up.
You can also level up in the "Link" mode as you progress, so you can use Link to fight for longer or deal more damage with the sword or bow respectively.
Fighting the bosses is fun, using the opposing echoes to fight for you, choosing the right ones based on speed or damage they deal. The bosses are easy once you understand their battle patterns. And of course, when a boss is kneeling, you can quickly transform into Link to deal some deadly blows! It's nice to know that Link is still with you even as a spirit. :)
Don't listen to the bad reviews, this is a fantastic and fun Zelda game that gets better and better as you progress. I think many expected it to be like the other Zelda games, meaning you have a sword, bow, boomerang, etc., which would essentially be Link dressed as Zelda.
This new mechanism with the echoes (probably here to stay) offers a completely new challenge to the series and something different; so far, I love it!
