Description

Inverter Technology

Provides constant temperature and lower consumption than regular instant water heaters as it uses only the necessary power to heat the water to the desired temperature.

Compatible with solar or boiler systems

It can be installed in series with them, taking the existing lukewarm water and thus achieving even greater economy.

If the CEX will be the only source of hot water, the following apply in any case:

  • More economical in electricity consumption by 30 to 40% compared to non-electronic instant water heaters and 60 to 70% compared to classic water heaters.

Operating Power

The operating power and consumption are controlled by the electronic brain according to the temperature and flow of the incoming water, to select exactly the desired temperature and maintain it steadily.

The selected temperature ranges between 20 C and 60 C, is adjusted with touch keys, and is displayed on the large screen, where the operating and programming options are also shown.

Programming keys

Two programming keys for setting temperature values, activating the temperature limit, as well as a menu for operation and setting/programming indications.

Temperature Memories

2 Temperature memories that you can easily set for each use, for example:

  • Temperature 35C for hand washing
  • Temperature 42C for showering or any other temperature you desire.

Features

  • Flow switch: Activates the device only when there is water flow.
  • Safety thermostat: Provides protection against overheating.
  • Inlet/outlet temperature sensors: Monitor and display on the screen, if selected, the temperature of the water entering or exiting.

Installation

It is central and can be used either as the main option for heating the water in your home, or as a supplementary. It can provide hot water throughout the house for your daily needs, as long as there are suitable pipes for the distribution of hot water. This may potentially result in heat and energy losses due to the distance.

What is an instant water heater?

The instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real-time. It only heats the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no hot water storage tank. This has many advantages, such as energy savings, since only the water that is used is heated, and longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and no accumulation of salts on the resistance and other components.

It operates with electricity and is three-phase, meaning a three-phase power supply is required.

How It Works

The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the resistance, heats up, and exits through the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the cold water inlet must not be too low.

The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat, so it does not exceed a maximum value. The temperatures that the hot water reaches are pre-set so that one can use the hot water directly, without the need for mixing with cold water.

The maximum temperature that can be reached for hot water production is 60 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 8.1 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are standard for shower use.

Advantages of instant water heaters compared to traditional electric water heaters

  • It is small in size and does not take up much space.
  • There are no energy losses, as only the water being used at that moment is heated. Therefore, we save on the electricity bill. In a traditional water heater, the hot water that is not used goes to waste.
  • The hot water used in the instant water heater is used as is, without mixing with cold, as happens in a traditional water heater. Thus, we also save water, in addition to electricity.
  • There is no need to wait for the water to heat up. As soon as we turn on the tap, hot water flows in a few seconds. The traditional water heater takes a few minutes, depending on its size.
  • The hot water never runs out. As long as we have the tap open, we will have hot water.

Purchased in March 2021 to be installed in a house under renovation, which was inhabited in December 2021. In December 2023, it developed a leak and stopped working. We sent it to the dealership for inspection, and they told us that it needed to be repaired and that the problem was due to high network pressure. They suggested we install a pressure-reducing valve, which we indeed purchased from them. The cost of repair (as the warranty had expired a few months prior) and the purchase of the pressure valve was €190, and along with shipping, plumber, and electrician, it amounted to €260. Then, in July 2024, it presented exactly the same problem, so we had to dismantle it again and send it to the dealership. This time they informed us that it had the same problem but could not be repaired again (they did such a good job repairing it the first time), and in response to my reasonable question about why this happened since we had now installed a pressure reducer, they kept saying it was the network's fault, the hydraulic shock, and everything else except for the water heater they sell. They even suggested I buy a new one at a special price. I told them that I wouldn't spend money to buy such an unreliable product with such poor after-sales service and that they shouldn't even bother sending it back to me.

    Verified purchase

This particular device has helped us a lot in having the hot water we need, in the quantity and at the moment we need it exactly.

After 8 months of operation, it showed an error and did not produce hot water. We called the dealership that provides service in Greece and a technician came who identified a problem with the water pressure, which was the reason for the damage to the device. A pressure reducer was added, a sensor was replaced, and the problem was solved. It was very important that there is a technical support team in Greece that was able to find a solution.

It is the best out of the three instant water heaters that I have (bathroom, kitchen, WC, the other two are from different brands).
