The B-Complex Formula is a dietary supplement that contains B-complex vitamins, inositol, and para-aminobenzoic acid.

These ingredients contribute to the normal functioning of metabolic processes aimed at energy production, cell protection from oxidative stress, and reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Cellular metabolism depends on the B-complex vitamins. Each member of the B-complex either has a coenzymatic action for important metabolic processes or is a precursor form needed to create a coenzyme.

Active Ingredients

  • B1 (thiamine) is the essential coenzyme for carbohydrate metabolism and acetylcholine production.
  • B2 (riboflavin) is a precursor for the creation of coenzymes after being converted to its bioactive form (5-phosphate riboflavin) to be used by the body. Vitamin B2 in the form of 5-phosphate riboflavin serves as a component of the prosthetic groups (FAD and FMN) of flavoproteins involved in oxidation-reduction reactions in numerous metabolic pathways, as well as in energy production through the respiratory chain.
  • B3 (niacin) is a precursor for the creation of coenzymes and plays a significant role in energy transfer reactions for the metabolism of sugars, fats, and alcohol.
  • B5 (pantothenic acid) is a precursor for the production of coenzyme A, which is needed for the metabolism of many molecules, e.g., amino acids, fatty acids, phospholipids, etc.
  • B6 (pyridoxine) in the form of 5-phosphate pyridoxine is an important coenzyme for decarboxylation (amino acid deamination, e.g., 5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin, coenzyme in transamination reactions (the body obtains non-essential amino acids).
  • B9 (folic acid) interacts with B12 for the synthesis of DNA, which is an essential component for all body cells.
  • B12 (methylcobalamin) in its active form is the essential coenzyme for the processing of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats and participates in erythropoiesis. It is also needed for the maintenance of nerve sheaths.
  • B8 (inositol) is an important intermediate key element of second messengers and a dominant component of the phospholipids of cell membranes involved in many biological processes.
