When it is in automatic mode, it uses an obstacle sensor (!), so most of the time it doesn't bump into walls and things. It is much faster than I expected, and when you operate it with the remote control, it is even faster. To the point that it does wheelies with the slightest movement. If the cat is in the mood, you might even charge it 3 times in the same day.

It also has a "smart" mode where the toy works on its own for 5 minutes and then stops, and if the cat touches it, it starts again for another 5 minutes, etc. I personally didn't like this; I would prefer it to work for 1 minute so it doesn't drain the battery continuously.

One thing it lacks is a button on the remote control to turn it on/off. You have to go find it and stop it if the noise starts to annoy.
