The screen is very good for its price (at least for office use). For me, the position of the button that turns the screen on and off at the back is annoying in daily use (the settings are done once so it's okay). A big problem for me (and the reason I returned the screen) is the way the screen is supported on its base, which is not stable and allows a few degrees of rotational movement of the screen on the base, causing the screen to tilt slightly. The placement of the cables at the back right made the screen tilt to the right, resulting in the left side being 1 centimeter higher than the right side in relation to the ground. I did not accept a replacement because I thought that even if I got another piece that doesn't tilt now, a problem would arise in the future. If the base were firmly attached to the screen, then I wouldn't have returned it (zero dead pixels, good colors, good viewing angles, works fine with some very old games I play).
So far, it looks great. It has been used as an external monitor for a laptop. It has been utilized for long hours of studying for exams with PDFs and PowerPoint with a white background and black text, and it wasn't as tiring as the laptop screen, but also for casual gaming like very relaxed FIFA and Hogwarts Legacy/RDR2. It has responded perfectly to my requirements. Just to have a conversation, an HDMI port and even speakers would be ideal, but overall, a very decent choice
Purchased for 99 (10 euros more than it goes for at Skroutz due to necessity)
I believe in monitors under 100 euros, this is one of the best, due to the specs it offers. However, it has one serious downside.
Positives:
-IPS panel
-good menu
-satisfactory image quality
-cheap but beautiful stand and has space for cable management
-100hz refresh rate
Negatives:
-mediocre viewing angles
-the construction of the monitor is mediocre and obviously won't withstand much
-23.8'' is good for 1080P but in 2024 is considered a small size
-and the serious downside: The monitor gives the impression that the panel is "deeper" than the bezels. So, if you look at the center, the pixels in the corners are hidden behind the bezels and it's very annoying. It can also be seen a bit in the attached photo.
I got the monitor for as long as it lasts, so the negatives don't bother me that much, especially for a panel under 100 euros. However, I would suggest looking at alternatives.
I am not an experienced user of monitors, so my evaluation is for the average user who just wants to do basic tasks and light gaming. Nice design, vibrant colors, good and sturdy stand. Among its positives is the fairly thin bezel it has. I believe for the money, I wouldn't find anything better. It was purchased through Skroutz Plus for 89.99 euros.
