With the help of Captain Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman attempts to permanently eradicate organized crime in Gotham City. The trio proves to be effective, but soon find themselves preyed upon by an emerging criminal known as The Riddler, who plunges Gotham City into chaos and forces the Dark Knight to walk an increasingly thin line between hero and vigilante judge.
