Water-saving function

When you connect the GARDENA soil moisture sensor, the automatic irrigation does not activate if the soil has sufficient moisture. This allows for better water supply and savings.

    It is a very good and practical programmer, suitable for a balcony or a small garden. The screen is quite helpful in use although not completely necessary. The different versions of the model that one might find (1891-36, 1891-20) have no difference, they just have a different code depending on the country of distribution. This particular one seems to be slightly cheaper than the 1891-20, I suppose because it is an independent import. Gardena programmers suffer from the diaphragm valve that needs to be replaced every 2 to 3 years (Cost 3€), but otherwise they are quite reliable and most spare parts can be found. I previously had 2 programmers 1030D (very good and reliable programmer, no longer available) but they both gave up after 12 years, at the same time!

    The gap between the screen and the body of the programmer that some complain about no longer exists, they have fixed it. So if you receive a programmer that has this gap, it will likely be a product from an outdated batch.
