SUNLU Silk Filament

The Silk is a filament that has been formulated with additives that provide an exemplary sheen without appearing overly glossy. Many PLA filaments contain various modifiers to achieve ideal printing or aesthetic characteristics. In silk PLA+, the additives create the characteristic sheen reminiscent of silk.

Since silk PLA+ is a polymer blended with special additives, the optimal settings depend on the specific material, brand, and color. Detailed tuning is necessary to achieve the best results with each silk PLA+ composition.

For printing with silk PLA+, the printing temperature is slightly higher than that of standard PLA.
