The plug is simply worth all the money. It has nothing to do with the micro USB nonsense that most drives have, which breaks just by looking at it
Overall, I am satisfied. I use it on a MacBook Air for backup with Time Machine and it does its job. I have had it for about a month and with this pleasant experience, I give it 4 stars. I will come back later to mention anything that concerns me or surprises me positively.
I have been using it for a long time, 2TB, working on it daily for at least 4 to 5 hours. So far, everything is good, no problems. I am a DJ and I use it as my main hard drive because of its stability. It survived a summer without any issues, from beaches to clubs, and continues to work all year round (definitely 10 hours daily during the summer for music, and around 3 to 4 hours as storage for the songs I buy, approximately 6000 per week). Overall, I have pushed it to its limits, but the speed is not affected compared to an SSD, it is definitely slower, but that doesn't bother me, there is not a huge difference. I used to change hard drives twice a year, but not anymore. I hope I helped.
Guys, it's slow! I will try to replace the cable, but for now I am disappointed with the transfer speed. I use it for backing up files, many relatively small files. For example, my first transfer was 8,000 files with a total size of 26 GB and it took half an hour.
I have it here for a few months, quite satisfied. It may not be fast, but it does its job just fine. Personally, I'm not bothered by its speed because it's not like an SSD. I appreciate it because it has protection, unlike other external hard drives that end up being a mess

This specific one stands out: a) for its data transmission speed according to the 3.1 standard, b) for its completely silent operation, place it on the desk and you won't even hear it or see it as it doesn't have any indicator light, c) for its durable construction with a relatively thick plastic casing, it may not be suitable for heavy industrial use, but you can put it in your pocket and not worry about any kind of shocks.
Does it work efficiently? Extremely: Is it worth its money? More than enough!
It shows that it is very durable, I bought it to fill it with children's movies and series for the little ones! and it plays great and has withstood the falls. It plays directly on Samsung, which I tested. One disadvantage (but small for me), I can say, is the way the cable attaches/stores, they could think of something more stable in my opinion because the hooks can easily be lost
It was purchased in March 2022 for around €60 (2TB). The construction is "rugged" and it seems like it can withstand drops, as it is protected by a hard rubber casing and, according to the specifications, it has a "suspension" system internally. Additionally, based on the specifications, it is protected from liquids. Both on Linux and Windows, I was able to access the SMART data of the disk (which is very important if we store critical data on it). This means that it uses the correct USB-to-SATA bridge, which is not obvious for many portable HDDs. It was formatted to NTFS. The internal disk is WD (see image). The speed measurements are satisfactory (see image) for a 2.5" mechanical disk with a USB connection. It seems like a serious and economical choice (you also save the cost of purchasing a case for the disk). I cannot comment on its longevity (since it was just purchased), but I will come back to it in the future. Of course, these are somewhat lucky, so always remember to keep a backup.
