  Great improvement compared to the previous model, first of all it is smaller, almost as small as the plug, it has distinct status lights for network and load and not one that changes color. The best part, however, is that it also measures power.
  I have the impression, though, that its wifi is weaker (perhaps due to size), roughly at the same distance from the others and the signal is slightly lower, this could be a problem in some cases.

  Owner of the product (I bought 2) for a week now. It was purchased so I can remotely control a quartz electric heater. Besides the heater, it's a good way to measure the consumption of various devices in your home. I have the following to say:

  1) Build quality: The build quality is good and the packaging it came in. You don't feel like you're holding a cheap and light Chinese product in your hands. I was a bit put off by an unpleasant smell that came from the device as soon as I took it out of the box; it reminded me of those low-quality plastics from deep Asia. However, as I said, you definitely don't feel like it's cheap and unreliable.

  2) Connectivity: The connection with the app is easy and quick, the eWeLink app is good and user-friendly with many features, however, the more specialized ones require a monthly subscription. Yes, you can automate without paying, yes it connects normally with Google Assistant but as for Alexa, I have no idea how, if, and how well, because I don't use it. The connection it maintains with the router seems to be good, even if you have it far away and there are brick walls in between.

  3) Functionality and features: It supports a load of up to 4000W; the most I reached was 2500W with the socket heating up slightly. I don't know what happens if you exceed 4000W. On the socket, there is a switch for manual activation/deactivation of the relay and in case you need to reset it and connect it to a new network. Something important that is not mentioned anywhere by anyone: It supports recording of instantaneous consumption, as well as history by day and hour of the day. You can manage it from the local network in case you don't have internet. On top, it has two lights, one blue and one red. The red indicates that the circuit is closed (meaning the device you have connected is powered) and the blue indicates that the socket is connected to the network. You cannot turn them off so that they are not visible at all, however, the light they emit is minimal. I don't know if using it next to a bedside table would be annoying. You can easily cover the light completely with a black insulating tape. In case of a power outage, you can set it to start on, off, or from its last state. Being connected to the socket, it is always on. Its consumption does not exceed 1-2W. So it is negligible.

  Note: If you want to connect it with Google Assistant and tell the Assistant to turn it on at a moment in the future, e.g., Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., the Assistant will refuse, telling you that devices that appear as outlets/heaters cannot receive scheduled activation for safety reasons. Just change the category of the socket to something like lamp from Google Home and then it will take the scheduled actions normally.

  In conclusion: There is nothing negative to highlight! It did my job without any issues. I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use if there is even a slight chance of getting wet, because it is NOT waterproof. However, I would use it outdoors in a place where it never gets wet. For Christmas lights, for instance, it's great.
