Perfect phone, especially for the money! First impressions are very good, the screen is clear and bright with curved edges that wrap around the sides and fills the entire front, the whole phone is very beautiful. Very lightweight, thin, and made of nice materials, plastic back but feels good and (detail) comes with a transparent protective case from its mother. Charges super fast, lasts comfortably for a day but not more, but with such quick charging it’s not an issue. Its Android is excellent and lightweight without many extras, which was a key criterion for my choice. The few extras that I particularly appreciated are some gestures that Motorola has added, and now I will be looking for them in the future. For what I want, the phone is ideal. I am very satisfied.
I have had the phone for 3 weeks now. Most of the positive and negative comments have been written by previous users. Those who are having issues with cases and screen protectors, I bought a screen protector and a case for 4 euros from a well-known Chinese site that everyone knows. Both fit perfectly with the screen protector having a very good feel and no issues with fingerprint recognition. Just keep in mind that after applying the screen protector, you need to re-register your fingerprint and not blame the device if it doesn't work. This applies to all devices when we install a new screen protector.
Overall, very fast, very good display, huge storage space that you can't find for this money, cameras seem okay to me without having tested much yet. I will come back later after extensive use.
It plays without competition at €300. The feeling it gives you is that you are holding a much more expensive smartphone in your hands. Don't waste your money by going for a more expensive option.
Very thin - elegant device, definitely gives you a premium feel. Very good screen, bright (a minor drawback and a matter of habit that it doesn't have always on display). A second drawback is that due to the curve on the right and left you can't put a screen protector, one that I tried applied just fine but unfortunately peeled off in a week. So be careful with the screen.
The case that comes in the package is a hard quality slippery one that maintains a very thin profile. While I bought another one, I eventually went back to this one. Along with the case, it also has its 68-watt charger.
Sound is very loud, battery is very good and finally I have a device that even if I forget to charge it at night, in the morning in about 25 minutes it's ready to comfortably last me the rest of the day (with light use, rarely playing any games).
Photos are very good and with the addition of some gcam version you see an even better result (everything is a matter of processing in general). Video is very good!
It definitely worths its price (I bought it for 300 euros) and truly in my opinion it doesn't lag behind devices that cost a thousand.
Purchase on November 29, 2024. Driven by the positive reviews (I doubt they are real) and to be sure, I also paid 20 euros at the store where I bought it for activation and data transfer from my old phone (Motorola g7) on December 7, 2024. Since then, until today, I have lost my sleep. I bought it to have communication with my children via Viber or WhatsApp. Unfortunately, those I call on video calls constantly inform me that the sound keeps cutting out. I firmly believe the problem, whether software or hardware, after a lot of actions on my part, questions, and wasting time and brainpower, belongs exclusively to the company. I am sure that other people are facing the same problem. It's time for the company to do something.
After 10 years with a Xiaomi Redmi Note, I decided after a lot of searching to change my old good Redmi Note 9 Pro for a Motorola (a subsidiary of Lenovo) for the first time.
I've had it for two weeks and I'm very satisfied.
What I like:
- Excellent price for the version with large memories 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM.
- Almost stock Android 15 UI with small touches from Motorola. It is very close to the Android UI as provided by Google.
- Strong stereo Dolby sound.
- Fast Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it doesn't perform miracles but it's quick and reliable.
- Quite good battery life and fast charging up to 68W.
- It has NFC.
- It's lightweight.
- Beautiful screen with vibrant colors reaching up to 144Hz with very good brightness under the sun and characteristic curves on both sides.
- No ads.
- It has pre-installed apps like games, etc., but they can be uninstalled.
- Comes with a 68W charger in the box.
- Waterproof at IP68 level.
What I would like it to have:
- Audio jack.
- SD card slot.
What you should know:
- The screen does not support HDR.
- It doesn't have an IR blaster, meaning infrared remote control.
- The camera is not a strong feature, just so you know.
- Tempered glass does not fit easily, meaning it has a slight curve on the screen like most smartphones. The screen is not flat; it has curved edges.
- It doesn't have a radio.
- The back of the device and the included case slip in the hand. Also, the case does not protect the sides at all. Definitely buy an aftermarket case.
- There are 2 versions available: one with 1 physical SIM + 1 eSIM and the other with 2 SIMs.
Excellent device for this price range, coming from Xiaomi Redmi 9 Pro of course the difference between them is huge... the features of the phone can be found in much more expensive devices which makes it great value for money, perfect screen, the camera could be better but for 300 euros it's just fine... processor speed is amazing... 12GB RAM, 512GB storage perfect coverage.... well done Motorola.! Avoid overpriced brands.. I highly recommend it, with closed eyes!
After a lot of thought, I finally bought it and I don't regret it at all.. its positives are its screen and its speed.. it feels very nice in the hand and gives you the impression that it is much more expensive.. I got it without VAT for 240 euros and I think I made a very good purchase.. I recommend it without hesitation!
It doesn't have a second SIM, the second one is an e-SIM which, if you insert it, cannot be transferred to another phone. Also, it doesn't have apps like a music player; you have to download them from other companies. You can remove the apps you don't need that are installed. On the plus side, it has its own software and doesn't lag like other manufacturers. Lightweight, fast, average photos for me. For its price, it is a very good choice now. Purchased from a foreign site for €365 in July. Charges quickly and has NFC, good sound with Bluetooth headphones.
After 2 months with it, I have to say the best things. Fast, whatever you ask of it, it does it in a flash, smooth as can be. It's worth the 299 I got it for on sale. I thought about it quite a bit whether I should get it and in the end, I don't regret it.
After a month of use, I have to say that the phone is excellent overall. Its packaging is amazing, and the build quality of the phone is even better. It doesn't overheat, it doesn't lag at all, it's very fast (at least for the usage I put it through), it has a very nice screen, and it has taken a couple of tumbles without any issues. The only negatives I've identified, which are secondary (at least for me), are that the battery could last a bit longer, but this is offset by the fact that it charges very quickly. As for the photos and videos (although I don't really engage much with them), they are quite impressive (though there is some blurriness when zooming). Also, the downside is that after a month of use, I haven't found the icon for the collection where the photos are stored. Overall, it is an excellent value-for-money phone.
The phone is generally flawless in its use, so I won't dwell on that since there are previous speakers. Just one thing that troubled me is that it has an excessively high radiation index (sar). I am attaching a relevant photo from the official Motorola site. It is something that we consumers unfortunately do not take into account at all in the specifications, which I would say is a mistake. I won't deduct any stars because the phone is indeed very good to use; it would just be good for future buyers to know about this detail
Impressive today 21-01-25 the phone is solid everywhere you don't feel it at all!! In everyday applications social, browsing quite a bit at least I don't game at all. Battery depending on a sim card at least 2 days barely. With dual I don't know obviously plays less matters. I come from more expensive devices I just wait for the flagship of 25 to decide. And I got it for a cheap solution. It has nothing to envy guys I'm blown away cameras both back and selfie perfect!!!
I don't know about video. But it has many options. Of course with Ai and Android 15 now in January. Guys flawless it's worth more the device! It also has tap tap screen normally. Fingerprint quick. Get it without hesitation!!! Huge screen!!!! Compared to a friend's Samsung a55 it doesn't hold a candle to it in cameras and screen only in benchmark. That's from me get it without hesitation!!!!
After 8 years with Xiaomi and 5 different models, I decided to try something else. I have never had such a screen, such vibrant colors you don't get with Xiaomi. Amazing battery, likely due to the software management (because I also had 5000mAh with Xiaomi but it didn't last like this). The camera I had before was 120MP, now it's 50 but it's in a different league. Snapdragon, no matter how small or old it is, is a guarantee. Get it with your eyes closed, the phone attracts attention. It's worth every euro you spend.
I think Lenovo has taken Motorola to new heights, and the fusion offers much more than more expensive phones in terms of a display with wonderful colors and a curved design that exudes luxury, the battery that easily lasts 2 days with moderate use, and the incredible fact that it charges in 20'!!!! Clear and strong sound, top-shelf photos, and it never heats up or lags. Absolutely satisfied for the €309 I paid. I have set it for maximum charging at 80% as recommended for battery longevity. I still haven't figured out how to disable the automatic connection to WiFi networks. Lastly, I want to mention that the package includes a charger and a back cover, just like we knew in the good old days.
I am very satisfied with the choice to get a Motorola after many years of having Xiaomi and Poco.
It really is worth it.
I struggled to find a case and finally got one from China
The best value for money and not just that. The battery never runs out. With data, Bluetooth, and hotspot on all day, I reached 11 PM with 30 percent left.
Excellent screen, very good photos day and night, and very fast. Also, as soon as I opened it, it received 4 updates, and the latest is Android 15!
Don't think about it at all. Highly recommended!
I have had the phone for 10 days. I had never paid attention to Motorola and I randomly saw a post/ad on Facebook that made me look into the phone. I read everywhere that it was great and I ultimately found out in practice that what they said was 100% true. The first thing I wanted to be true was the battery life, and indeed it lasts 1.5 days at 60Hz. Beautiful phone (I had a phone with a curved screen before, so I didn't have any trouble), very bright screen with beautiful colors, quite fast, it hasn't frozen on me at all. These days it has also received Android 15, but I haven't downloaded it yet. Overall, the phone is a very good choice; it's my first time with Motorola, but now Motorola is owned by Lenovo, with which I have had a good experience in the past. The Google UI takes some getting used to at first, but you get used to it immediately. Overall, it deserves 5 stars
It is worth its price and that is its biggest advantage. Quite fast with the Snapdragon doing its job. Beautiful on the outside, with an Edge screen and nice color quality. Photography....... The classics that mid-range category phones offer. Good photos and videos! during the day. Average quality in low light conditions.
I have had it for 10 days, purchased at 306, coming from the Xiaomi 10 Pro. So far, I am impressed. I don't see myself leaving Motorola again. Speed, battery, screen.
What can I say about this phone, it's the best!!! It also has a powerful speaker, it's like having an iPhone, such quality I felt. Guys, get it, it's really worth it. VFM, I saved, I would have given 1300 euros for an iPhone, 300€ is a steal. First of all, the battery charges to 100% in 15 minutes. You think you have a Samsung Galaxy, waterproof, perfect photos and videos, fast processor. What else are you waiting for??? Just 300€ and with 512 GB memory inside. It comes with a case and charger, so it's a great purchase, VFM!!!! With a discount
I have had it for 10 days. Very good battery management as you can see, from 11:00 until the evening comfortably, and I am almost all day with Bluetooth, internet, movies, etc. If someone uses it more casually, they will get a bit more out of the next day; only the charger heats up a bit and the phone slightly when charging within normal limits. Very good screen and brightness. It doesn't lag. Good for photos. It simply has a November security patch; mine still doesn't know about others. Generally, for the money, it's very good. Time will show how long it will last. Thank you and Happy New Year to everyone. 9-1-25 today I received an Android 15 update...
I got it in September 2024, replacing a Xiaomi Mi A3, I was looking for something with clean Android (as much as possible) which leaves very few options, mainly Sony and Motorola, although it has some additional customizations compared to the Moto G (blur in notifications, tiles, etc., and some Motorola apps) it's not something annoying.
The phone, in terms of what it needs to do as a phone, is excellent, without lag, nice screen quite bright (although personally I prefer non-curved screens on phones, it gets used to it very quickly) it doesn't heat up much, good call quality, loud speakers, and the battery indeed lasts 2 days with light use. Now that you can find it around €300, it really is worth it for the specs it has.
Some details for anyone interested:
- I have read various things regarding security updates and Android on Motorola phones, but so far it receives updates relatively on time and I haven't encountered any bugs.
- The camera is of good quality, clear photos, and good stabilization in videos, but it is behind compared to the competition, mainly losing in colors which often tend to be very magenta and not realistic, and often with quite elevated sharpness and saturation (of course, anyone looking for a serious phone for photography will look for something flagship, for its price the Edge 50 F is quite good).
- The headphone jack is known not to exist (it has a hassle-free Bluetooth connection though, so it's a minor issue) but for anyone needing a 3.5mm jack, the Apple dongle (USB-C to 3.5mm) although quality has low volume on Android phones (while on PCs and other devices it works normally).
- The speakers are loud in sound volume but not in quality.
- The USB-C port is 2.0 with all that entails, therefore it does not support external display (via display port with an adapter), while the Edge 50 Pro is 3.0 and supports it normally, Motorola has integrated Motorola Ready For (smart connect) which allows you to connect the phone to an external display (wired or wireless) and run apps as if it were a desktop (it resembles Samsung's Dex a bit) on the Edge 50 Fusion it only supports it wirelessly due to USB 2.0.
- If you charge the phone at night and have set an alarm, it has a feature that reduces the charging speed until morning to not overly stress the battery (now if it really helps will show over time).
- Disable the wake display feature with the shaking of the phone when it is off, because it is very sensitive and opens constantly with the slightest shake
I got the phone about 2 months ago to replace the Xiaomi Mi A2. First time with Motorola!! The main reason was that I wanted clean Android, which I had gotten used to from Xiaomi. Of course, Xiaomi and clean Android don't go together, but this one was Android One, the second of the three that Xiaomi has released. Positives. 1. Battery. It lasts 10-11 hours SOT at 60Hz, maybe even a little more!! It can last up to 2 days with light use. 2. Screen. Beautiful, nice colors, good contrast even though it's not HDR (something that doesn't bother me), very good brightness, and I like that it's curved even though many don't prefer it. 3. Processor. Quite good the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 for this category. I haven't encountered any lag; everything opens quickly. It also heats up within very reasonable limits, not more than it should. I believe it will last 2-3 years for sure!! 4. RAM. I don't have much to say. 12GB is simply more than enough!! The RAM Boost is unnecessary and it's good to disable it. 5. Build quality. It seems to have a quite sturdy build with normal dimensions for the size of the screen which has Gorilla Glass 5. The back and sides are plastic but they don't feel cheap. And of course, I prefer this over having glass or leatherette which would start to wear and scratch in a short time. 6. Camera. It takes clear photos with good detail and almost no noise. They are slightly oversaturated, but nothing excessive. The night shots are also very good, perhaps even more than one would expect in this category. As for video, the main camera shoots up to 4k 30fps with EIS, which is very important and you don't easily find in devices up to €300-350. I don't have much to say about this; it's as it should be and it holds true what I said about the photos!! The ultrawide seems a bit useless for me, but at least it's 13mp which is not easily found in midrange phones of €300-400. I don't use the selfie camera much but it also shoots 4k 30fps (without EIS). It's quite decent for both photos and videos. OIS is only available on the main camera. 7. And finally, the operating system. As I said, it was the reason I bought it. Clean with some small touches and apps from Motorola. You can disable them if you want, as I did. You can uninstall or at least disable almost everything, even the camera app!! Tip: You should disable the Motorola App Manager, MotorolaApps, and 3 Meta apps it has, if you don't want games and apps to download on their own. It will also get up to Android 17, with Android 15 just around the corner!! Also, 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Hotspot work normally, and the call quality is great; I hear and am heard very clearly!! Negatives........ I haven't found any yet!! Of course, my next device will be Motorola again!!
It is the best phone in this category and its price is a steal. I got it for 280 from 449 and the phone is top-notch! In white color, it just rocks from here on out only Motorola!!!!!!!
Amazing phone. Motorola from now on!!! The only downside is that it doesn't have a proper gallery app for the photos, but the simple gallery app pro costs 0.7 euros from the Google store and it's an amazing app.
At its price, given the circumstances, it should be top-notch... It lacks nothing that wouldn't satisfy even quite demanding users, EXCEPT for a booster for at least mid-range games, which would cover the entire range of users {purely subjective}... Screen, colors, sound, photo and video are very satisfactory {again in relation to the price}, "full" in dimensions without the feeling of being "clunky", definitely creating the impression of a much more expensive product
The phone is perhaps the best for its price, I really haven't encountered any problems at all, nor any lags. The battery lasts easily a day and a half and it charges in 20 minutes. The photos for the money it costs, especially in good light, are very good, competing with devices that are much more expensive. It is worth every euro. I come from a flagship of Xiaomi and I can say that it is quite superior as a device.
It's a gem! Worth every euro, good camera for the money, perfect screen, and generally beautiful.. the battery lasts literally one and a half to two days with normal use.. no lags.. charges quickly..
For the money I bought it for, €300, I am satisfied (for now).
I come from the realme gt master edition, so I need time to get used to the "operating system" of Motorola.
The sound, louder than the realme I had, just isn't something I can turn all the way up. It doesn't match the reviews; it's not that I dislike anything, it's just not low and bad.
I haven't dealt with photos yet.
So far, there isn't anything I didn't like; I just need to find my "way" with the operating system.
One thing is for sure, I will return in the future.
P.S. If I had gone for the realme 12 Pro+, of course, everything would have been easier, but there was a difference of +€100, and I decided to try something a little different.
